What is a “normal” job/career/business? 🤔

I’ve been coaching a client who works in the 'adult entertainment' industry. She found me on online and from the outset had a clear business plan, a deep understanding of her goals, and a sharp focus on her WHY.

Our sessions are always driven by action and outcomes. If you've worked with me, you will know, whilst I set work for to to do on your own, I never chase after it. 3/3 sessions she has done the work.

It got me thinking… why do job titles get people so hot under the collar? Does it really matter what she does, or what you do—or is the real question, how one approaches their work?

Here are my takeaways from working with her:
🔥 Clarity wins – She knows her market, her audience, and her strategy. A lot of business owners/business leaders don’t.
💡 Entrepreneurial mindset – She doesn’t just work in her business, she works on it. Vision, systems, and scalability are all part of her plan.
📈 Outcome over optics – Success isn’t about what others think—it’s about achieving meaningful results.
🔎 Self-awareness is power – She understands her values, her motivations, and the impact she wants to create. That’s leadership in action.

Seeing the Bigger Picture: The Power of Perspective 🤔

Sometimes, we get so caught up in the details that we lose sight of the bigger picture. We analyse, we overthink, we scrutinise—but in doing so, we can become blind to what’s right in front of us. It’s like staring at a painting from inches away; all we see are brushstrokes and textures, but when we step back, the full image comes into view.

Perspective is everything. A situation that feels overwhelming up close might look completely different when viewed from a distance. A problem that seems unsolvable might just need a new vantage point. Often, we aren’t lacking solutions—we’re just too close to see them.

Stepping back doesn’t mean giving up. It means allowing yourself the space to reflect, reassess, and realign. It’s a shift from being consumed by the moment to understanding the moment within a larger context. And in that space, clarity emerges.

Waiting for perfect conditions can mean missing out on valuable opportunities for growth. The key is to take action, even if it feels imperfect or uncertain. Every step you take today—no matter how small—builds momentum, builds skills, and gets you closer to your goals.

So, instead of waiting for everything to fall into place, focus on what you can do today to move forward. Start where you are, with what you have. You’ll be surprised how much progress you can make just by starting. The right time is always now.

Have you ever hit a wall—professionally or personally—and felt stuck? It’s a moment we all face, and it’s easy to get frustrated. But here’s a thought: that wall isn’t just an obstacle. It’s a question.

Is it there for you to climb over and grow stronger in the process?
Or is it there to lean against, to pause, reflect, and recharge?

Both options have value:
💪 Getting over it builds resilience, determination, and new perspectives.
