That's the reduction in on-road fleet CO2 emissions that Think Hire has achieved over the last 18 months.
And we don't intend to stop.

We're installing solar technology across our LCV fleet, and today we welcome our first van equipped with the technology.
It's a practical demonstration of our ESG commitments, delivering real-world impact through assets on the road.

Group COO Chris Dickinson said:
"Supporting the recent release of our ESG strategy, sustainability continues to be at the heart of Think Hire's vehicle fleet strategy. Building on a 70% reduction in on-road fleet CO2 emissions achieved over the last 18 months, we are now installing our proven solar technology across our LCV fleet.

By generating renewable energy directly from our vehicles, this innovation supports auxiliary power requirements, reduces demand on the vehicle electrical system and further enhances our environmental performance.

It is another example of how Think Hire continues to invest in practical, industry-leading solutions that deliver both operational efficiency and measurable sustainability benefits."

Today, we're making our green commitment official with the launch of Think Energy Group's first formal ESG Strategy.

Sustainability has been part of how we operate since day one.
What's changed is the structure behind it.

That structure includes our emissions targets: net-zero across Scope 1 and 2 by 2035, and Scope 3 by 2050, with a 90% cut locked in and validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.
But the strategy goes wider than decarbonisation. It commits us to cutting waste at source through a circular economy approach, backing nature-positive outcomes around our sites, and investing in our people through volunteering, wellbeing and an inclusive culture.

It reinforces our Energy-as-a-Service model; every business we provide energy infrastructure to gets cleaner power on site, backed by data and a clear framework for reporting its emissions impact.

This is already built on what we've been doing: validations, certifications, ongoing commitments and partnerships: SBTi validation, an Excellent rating from the Considerate Constructors Scheme, and an EcoVadis Bronze rating, putting us in the top 35% of businesses assessed globally.

As Neil Richardson, Think Energy Group CEO and Founder, said: "Cleaner energy has to work commercially, or it doesn't work at all. Publishing this means holding ourselves to account, with real evidence and a plan we can be measured against."

Heath Mansell, our Head of ESG, who led this strategy, put it this way:

It wouldn't be Friday without some good news.

Big moment for one of our Sundon Rangers players today: a trial game with AFC Bournemouth.
We support Sundon Rangers and love seeing young talent from the club get a shot at something like this.

A good showing today could open the door to an academy contract, which would be brilliant for the player and the whole team.

Whatever happens, it's a reminder of what grassroots football gives kids: a chance to be seen, a place to belong, and the confidence to have a go at something bigger.

In line with our ESG commitments, we've partnered with GreenTheUK on a new green initiative: Plant Trees for the NHS.

Many NHS sites like GP surgeries, care homes, hospitals, and pharmacies have underutilised space. This project allows land to do more for the patients who use these sites and the communities around them.

The case is straightforward. Trees on healthcare sites capture carbon, cut air pollution, and connect wildlife in urban spaces around the country, increasing biodiversity. They also give patients and staff calmer, greener surroundings to recover and work in.

Connecting people to nature is key to physical and mental health, so this initiative helps keep our communities healthy and reduces pressure on the NHS.

We're starting with a contribution of 300 trees, planted across UK healthcare sites in the next planting season, from October 2026 to March 2027.

Industry jargon can be confusing. Let's make it simple.

Next up in the Think Energy Glossary: EaaS.

EaaS (Energy-as-a-Service): Energy delivered as a managed service, with consultation, monitoring, and support built in for the life of the project.

For example, at Think Hire, EaaS runs through the whole project lifecycle. It's the consultative approach before a deployment even starts, load simulation testing that proves performance before a unit leaves the yard, Think Energy Panorama monitoring every installation in real time, and training and after-sales support once it's up and running, followed by insights and energy reports.

Excellent, again. And under a new, tougher scorecard.

Think Hire was just assessed under the Considerate Constructors Scheme's updated checklist.

Scores were strong across every theme: Community, Environment, and Workforce, and our rating was excellent.

It was noted that our ESG strategy, environmental management systems, carbon reduction commitments, welfare standards, workforce wellbeing arrangements and responsible supply chain management all stood out. Our Think Safe programme was also highlighted as evidence of a genuine culture of continuous improvement on site.

A result like this doesn't happen by accident.
