I'm busy planning for a new and exciting movement for our Eldership Community, which is coming in 2026.

For the past three years we've been exploring Eldership and focusing on what it entails and the journey we take to step into this stage of life. However, this year I've been working on how we take Eldership into Organisations and Business and what this could look like.

Through many conversations with members of the Elders Business Skool, Leaders and External Consultants, I've been busy creating a strategy for engaging with Organisations around The Need for Culture Making, which is the function of the Elders.

In the coming weeks and months I'll start to share more with you; however, as a 'taster' I wanted to invite you to a 'Live' Podcast with Garry Turner about what's emerging in the workplace.

You'll no doubt be aware of the headlines and articles that tell us about the trends and the latest research around workplace culture. Particularly the loss of engagement, the issues with the generation divide, low productivity, the loss of jobs and ageism (to name a few).

However, we want to go beneath the surface of these attention grabbing headlines and look deeper as to what's being called for Culturally in this emerging future.

I met with Garry a few weeks ago and started the conversation on my Podcast. However, there was so much to discuss I asked Garry to join me on an extra 'Live' Podcast so we could open up the discussion to our whole Community.
This will allow Garry to share with us his philosophy and his point of view / model, which I know you'll find interesting.

The Boarding School Conference 😃

Today I’m off to The Boarding School Conference in London.

Last year I was honoured to be interviewed for a film about the Boarding School System and the Trauma that entails for children and how this lies hidden in our Wider Cultural Systems.

Having worked in Culture Change, Transformation and Culture Making in Organisations for over thirty years, I began to recognise (hidden) Patterns that lie in the foundations of the Systems and the Leadership.

Working more deeply with Leaders and helping them delve into their Ancestral backgrounds and their hidden contracts of Loyalty, it became apparent that there was often a connection to the Boarding School System.

What’s so important is to understand this phenomena and to not judge the System, but to be compassionately curious.

This System carries deep Trauma which is masked by the myth of Privilege. The trauma carries the sticky and painful patterns of narcissism and double bind patterns. It’s divisive.

We have to look beyond the people and the individual to the Whole System. It’s here we find release and the resources to heal the System and create harmony and cohesion on our Culture.

Poem: Song of the Ancestors

Tonight the ancestors circle close—
and candles flicker between worlds
where souls pass to and fro.

I have heard them coming and going –
murmuring prayers, humming songs
that come from the center of the earth.

There are those who tend the portals
through time. There are those who dwell
in the canyons, caves, and lakes who sing
the whole world into being
again and again.

There are those who hold the drumbeat
through the rise and fall of empire
and sit at the loom at the center
of the universe to weave the next story.

Tonight the ancestors circle close—
and we who have forgotten how
to tend the holy are being asked to remember.

To clear the patterns that have twisted
the essence of our lineage.
To make amends.
To bring honey and balm to the places
in ourselves that have carried
wounds and atrocities.
To call down the blessings of the line
that reimagines itself through our living.

Some say all the pains of the world,
all the great imbalances of our time
come from the restlessness
of the unrecognized ancestors.
And some say that all the beauty
of the world comes from the visions
of the descendants, calling us forth.

For we too will pass in and out
of bodies—through the hallways of time.
We will be called upon by our grandchildren’s
grandchildren—to light the way a while
with the lantern the size of the moon.
We will be asked about the magic of old—
that most ordinary magic
of seasons and light and seeds.

Tonight, the ancestors circle close –
and our hearth fires speak in their tongue.
Lay the table with marigold and pomegranate,
with scarlet leaves and gourds. For together
we are already dreaming the next year’s arc.
Together, we are already dreaming
the story to come.

We all make “Vows”.

Some we make more consciously (like marriage vows).

Yet there are many “Hidden”Vows we make.

When we’re feeling stuck in life, it often relates to a hidden vow we have made, sometimes at a Soul level.

These hidden vows are made from an act of love or fear of loss of belonging.

In our personal lives these may be Vows such as:
“I vow to be the family black sheep, so that the family secret may remain hidden. I do this in order to protect you mum and dad.”

In an Organisation it may look like:

“I vow to you my manager, to make you ‘bigger than’ me, so that you can feel powerful in order to safely belong here.”

What hidden Vows may be keeping you safe (and stuck)?
