As a Tibetan immigrant living in the UK, I often wondered why not everything was working out for me.

I worked hard.
I did everything I was told to do.

Yet I still felt stuck.

One reason? I knew very little about alternative sources of income.

Coming from a background where traditional jobs and physical businesses were the norm, anything related to digital income felt unreliable and too good to be true.

Then there were all the stories about people being scammed online.

That fear stopped me many times.

But deep down, I was desperate for change.

So I kept watching.

Watching others succeed.
Watching people create more flexibility in their lives.

But watching isn’t the same as taking action.

The truth is, I was waiting for the “perfect time.”

And while I was waiting…

Time kept passing.

Nothing changed.

Then life gave me a wake-up call.

My mum was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

Living abroad, I couldn’t simply jump on a plane whenever I wanted. I couldn’t spend as much quality time with her as I wished.

That was the moment everything shifted.

I realised that if I kept waiting for the perfect time, I might be waiting forever.

So I took the first step.

Not because I had all the answers.
Not because I felt ready.
But because staying where I was no longer felt like an option.

I started building an online business alongside my job, learning new skills and surrounding myself with a supportive community.

Little by little, I began creating a path toward more freedom, flexibility, and the possibility of becoming my own boss one day.

The biggest lesson?

The perfect time doesn’t exist.

Sometimes the only thing standing between where you are and where you want to be is the courage to take the first step.

✨ Your future won’t change by watching.
It changes when you decide to start.

I’ll show you the first step that helped me go from feeling stuck to building something of my own. ✨

Yes it’s lapshi ko titaura (hog plum)

For years, I’ve brought it back from Nepal whenever I visited my mum. Every time I ate it, I’d tell myself, “This was my favourite childhood snack.”

But recently, I had a funny realization…

The version I loved as a child wasn’t actually this one. 😅

In fact, this version with the seed inside wasn’t even my favourite back then.

So why do I love it so much now?

Because for years, I kept telling myself the same story.

“This is my favourite childhood snack.”

Over and over again.

And eventually, I believed it.

That got me thinking…

When people hear about manifestation, affirmations, or the law of attraction, many dismiss it as wishful thinking or magic.

But maybe it’s simpler than that.

The words we repeat to ourselves shape our beliefs.

If you constantly tell yourself:
✨ “I can do this.”
✨ “I deserve this.”
✨ “I’m capable.”
✨ “I’m becoming better every day.”

You start showing up differently.

You feel more confident.
You notice opportunities.
You take actions you might have avoided before.

And that shift in energy often changes the results you create.

The lesson?

Be careful what story you keep telling yourself.

Because one day, you might believe it.

And that’s not always a bad thing. 😉

As for the hog plum with the seed?

Now that I know it wasn’t my childhood favourite, I still love it and I don’t care. 😂

Sometimes the stories we choose to keep can bring us joy, confidence, and a reminder of how powerful our minds really are.

😅 Confession time…

I managed to stay vegetarian for the entire month last month… only to accidentally slip during Saka Dawa. The irony is not lost on me. 🤦‍♀️🍕

For those wondering, “Why does it matter more during Saka Dawa?”

Saka Dawa is one of the most sacred months in Tibetan Buddhism. It commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana of the Buddha. Many Tibetans use this month to practise more compassion, kindness, generosity, prayer, and mindful living.

It’s also believed that the merit accumulated during this month is multiplied many times over compared to ordinary days. That’s why many people choose to avoid meat, perform good deeds, recite mantras, and be more intentional with their actions.

What inspires me most is seeing how many young Tibetans continue to honour these traditions in their own way. 🤍

As for me… let’s just say the pizza is long gone, and now it’s time to focus on accumulating some extra virtue instead. 😆🙏

May this month be a reminder for all of us to choose a little more kindness, compassion, and mindfulness towards others and ourselves.

Some of us have mastered the art of showing up for everyone else while quietly abandoning ourselves.

I’ve been there.

As a breadwinner, I felt responsible for everyone around me. But somewhere along the way, I realised that constantly putting myself last wasn’t serving anyone, not even the people I loved most.

The best thing I ever did was start making room for my own growth, goals, and dreams.

Because when women thrive, everyone around them benefits too.

✨ Don’t lose yourself while taking care of everyone else.

Not every problem needs a complicated solution. 🤍

Sometimes it’s a warm meal, a quiet moment, and giving yourself what your body is asking for.

For me, after a busy day and a bit of motion sickness, that’s usually something warm, tangy, and comforting.

Funny how certain foods can instantly make us feel at home, no matter how stressful the day has been.

Food isn’t just fuel. sometimes it’s comfort, memory, and therapy all in one bowl. 🍲✨

What’s your go-to comfort food when you’ve had a long day? 👇

Most people don’t fail because they lack time.

They fail because they believe they need more time before they start.

As a healthcare professional, immigrant, and breadwinner, I know what it’s like to juggle multiple responsibilities.

That’s why I stopped waiting for the perfect schedule and started making the most of the time I already had.

The truth? Small actions repeated consistently can create big changes over time.

A productive Sunday… 🏡✨

Got my hair cut short today and honestly? It turned out way better than I expected. 💇🏻‍♀️

Found a song that’s been on repeat all day 🎵
Not sure what they put in it, but it’s been lifting my mood for absolutely no reason.

Also tried the Apple Peony Lip Oil…
My lips went from “surviving” to “thriving” in minutes. 💄😂

Nothing extraordinary.
Just one of those days where the little things quietly make you feel good.

How’s your Sunday going?
Any small wins or simple joys today? 👇🤍

There’s something about the sounds of nature that instantly slows my mind and lifts my spirit.

A gentle reminder that not every form of progress has to be productive—sometimes, it’s simply feeling present. ✨

Do you feel the same?
