It's very satisfying to see all the windows fitted and this project complete. The customers gave the design a lot of thought and based the elements on the designs in the original stained glass in their bay window. The result is a very pleasing scheme that complements the age of the house while resolving the problem of how to fill 13 windows in a more modern door.

My recent customers sent me footage of the projected light from the stained glass window over their door interacting with wind blowing through a tree in the front garden creating a spectacular effect in their hallway!

A recent piece of work I was inspired to make after visiting Elliot Walker Glass Sculpture at Blowfish Gallery in Stourbridge. Elliot is the only person in the UK reviving the extinct historic craft of producing mouth blown sheet glass in the UK. He gave a great glass blowing demonstration of how he creates the glass as a cylinder and all the processes involved to make it into a flat sheet. This stained glass piece is made entirely from glass that Elliot has made. I bought some pieces that we're still curved from the cylindrical forms and I managed to successfully flatten them out in my kiln so I could include them in this piece. It was a joy to work with such special and beautifully made glass.
Once the circular window was made it deserved a beautiful display stand so it can be appreciated in exactly the right place to catch the light. The stand was designed and expertly crafted by Grahame Jebb at Grit Studios using an ash base and brass fittings.
Overall height 51cm, glass 30cm diameter

A view of the canal I'm travelling along seen through glass in the stained glass windows I made for the boat. It's my friends' boat and this trip is the payment for making the windows - a very nice barter - especially as I get to enjoy the windows while travelling - and receive the occasional compliment from passers by! Sometimes I make windows for people's houses and never get to see them again so this is a real treat!

A recent renovation of a badly damaged front door window. Scroll through the photos to see the condition of the window before the work was done. It's very satisfying to work on a window in this state and restore it to its as new condition. Thanks to Grahame Jebb for careful removal and re-fitting of this window.

I'm thrilled that my kinetic sculpture (aka rotatey glass) has been sold at the Outside In Shelter exhibition at Christie's in London. It was exciting enough to be selected for the exhibition but this is beyond my wildest dreams!
Thanks to all the team at Outside In for their support and to Grahame Jebb for his technical expertise

My latest work for a front door in South Manchester featuring poppies and a swift. I was very happy to be able to use my favourite glass from Pearsons Glass in this project.
