A good day at the office today!🍕

We treated the team to freshly made pizza for lunch as a small thank you for all of the hard work going on across the group.

It was great to get everyone together for a quick break, good food and a catch-up away from desks and workshops.

We are pleased to share that the SER Group and its divisions are carbon neutral business for the third consecutive year.

Following a comprehensive assessment, our total greenhouse gas emissions for 01/01/2025 – 31/12/2025 were 186.45 tCO₂e. Over this three-year period, 507.76 tCO₂e has been measured and offset, reflecting a consistent approach to managing our environmental impact.

We continue to measure our emissions annually and offset our full footprint through verified global projects, including renewable energy, reforestation, and methane capture, ensuring a like-for-like environmental balance.

Sustainability remains central to our operations across all divisions, as we work to reduce emissions and deliver responsible, compliant solutions across the battery lifecycle and wider recycling activities.

Next week, we’re proud to be supporting Birmingham City University’s Waste Awareness Week, helping promote responsible recycling and sustainable practices across campus.

As part of the event, SE Recycling will be engaging with students on the importance of IT and WEEE recycling, raising awareness around the environmental impact of electronic waste and the role responsible disposal plays in supporting a circular economy.

SE Recycling will be attending the event fair on the following dates:
📍 Tuesday 24th March, 11:00am – 2:00pm | Seacole Building
📍 Thursday 26th March, 11:00am – 2:00pm | Curzon Building

Students will have the opportunity to take part in interactive activities, learn more about sustainable waste management, and enter prize giveaways throughout the event.
