6 businesses 6 growth strategies 1 clear direction.

5 days ago 6 businesses arrived with ideas, opportunities, challenges and questions.

Today, they left with a practical growth strategy built specifically for their business.

We’ve explored goals, customers, messaging, brand, direction and priorities.

We’ve challenged thinking, joined the dots and brought all the pieces of the jigsaw together.

The result isn’t a document that sits gathering dust. It’s a strategy they can use to make better decisions, focus on the right opportunities and grow with confidence.

That’s what good marketing should do. Support the wider business strategy and help move the business forward.

Now the real fun starts as they begin putting those strategies into action.

This is where the jigsaw really starts to come together.

Today’s session focused on what makes each business different and how to explain it in a way that makes sense.

Not for the sake of marketing, for the sake of the business because marketing works best when it’s connected to the wider business strategy, goals and growth plans.

Today, our 6 attendees started to see how all the pieces fit together…

Their products and services.
Their value.
Their experience.
Their personality.
Their approach.
Their goals.
Their marketing.

When those pieces connect, the bigger picture becomes clearer, decisions are easier, focus improves and consistency is way more achievable.

Tomorrow, we’ll be bringing all 5 steps together into a complete growth strategy that they can start using straight away.

Day 3 is where reality kicks in.
What’s working, what isn’t, what needs improving and what needs stopping.

The best strategies aren’t built on guesswork. They’re built on understanding what’s already happening in your business and making better decisions from there.

We’re now over halfway through Live Strategy Week and with only two steps left, things are getting very interesting.

Which part of your marketing do you enjoy most?

And which bit do you struggle with?

30/06/2026

What showed up again today is people aren’t fully clear on where this is actually going.

Day 2 is where that gets challenged.
What are you building beyond the next bit of work?

What does success actually need to look like in 12 months for this to feel worth it?

What are the 3 things that genuinely matter right now?

And what are you still putting up with that’s slowing everything down?

Because if you don’t answer those properly, everything starts to feel important. You get pulled in different directions, chasing things that look good in the moment and overthinking decisions you shouldn’t have to.

When that direction’s clear, things settle. Decisions are easier. You know what to focus on and what to leave alone.

29/06/2026

Day 1, step 1 of creating a growth strategy is not about doing more marketing. It’s about understanding what already exists, what has shaped the business, and what the story so far is trying to show you.

Happy Monday 😁

Most businesses skip this bit… and it causes chaos later.

They’re trying to talk to too many people, their message ends up vague and their
content is all over the place.

I see people putting posts out, then wondering why they’re not getting enquiries.

It’s usually not the content, it’s the fact they haven’t properly worked out
who they’re for, what that person is dealing with, and what actually needs saying. When you get clear on this
everything else gets a lot easier.

If this sounds like a you problem, message me. Happy to talk it through.

Most businesses have never properly stopped to look at this…

What’s actually working…
and what isn’t. So they keep repeating things that don’t bring in work and second guessing everything else.

I see people putting time into things
that aren’t really doing the job then wondering why nothing is changing.

That one step on its own is huge. Because once you can see it properly,
you stop wasting time on the wrong things and start focusing on what actually makes a difference.

If this sounds like you, message me. Happy to talk it through.
Happy Friday 🌞

Do you know what people tell me all the time?

“I’m busy… I’m doing loads…I don’t actually know if any of it’s right though.”

They feel overwhelmed.
They feel a bit lost.
Like they’re going round in circles.

Some even say it’s got to the point where they stop doing anything
because it all feels too much. That’s not a motivation problem. It’s what happens when the direction underneath it isn’t clear.

If this sounds like you, message me. Happy to talk it through.

You don’t outgrow networking. You outgrow what it used to feel like.

Networking works. It builds relationships, it supports people, and it opens doors.

Some people find something that fits them and stay in the same rooms for years, and that works really well for them. This isn’t that.

I’ve realised I don’t want to just “network” anymore. I want to feel something when I walk into a room. I want to meet real people who are pushing themselves, people who are building something, people who are thinking properly about what they’re doing.

I want real conversations. Honest ones. The kind where you actually learn something, where you’re challenged a bit, where you leave thinking that was worth it. I want to feel the energy, share energy, and leave feeling energised.

And for me, that doesn’t come from doing the same thing over and over again. The same rooms, the same format, the same conversations. I need new environments, new energy, new people.

What’s started to click is that some of the best “networking” doesn’t even feel like networking. It happens when people come together through something else. Shared interests, activities, proper conversations that aren’t forced. It’s when whoever’s leading the way removes the barriers between people so they actually talk, share and do something together.

That’s when it works. That’s when you see people properly. That’s when the energy changes. That’s what I want more of.

For me, it’s about carving out my own way of doing it. Not the version I’ve been told to follow, and not the one I think I should be doing. The one that actually works for me.

It’s a bit like leaving school. At some point you stop following the path that’s been set and start figuring out your own. What you’re interested in, how you want to learn, the kind of people you want around you.

It has to be the one you work out for yourself. Once you do that, networking doesn’t stop working. It just starts working in a way that actually gives you something back.

If networking worked the way you wanted it to… what would it actually look like?
