⚠️ Bulky Waste Collection Update

From 10 August, we are temporarily unable to collect fridges and freezers as part of our bulky waste service due to a national backlog caused by the closure of several treatment facilities.

We're working with Nottinghamshire County Council to find a solution and will provide updates as soon as possible.

Please store appliances safely at home in the meantime. If urgent disposal is needed, only use a licensed waste carrier.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. ♻️

Have you recently been turned away from your local tip in Nottinghamshire?

It’s becoming more common now that recycling centres are unable to respond to high demands, and have begun refusing specific items at peak times including fridges.

If you don’t want long waits in your cars or unable to dispose of plasterboard or specific waste the council aren't taking

We would like to highlight the incredible work being done by Dennix Dx

At G&L Waste Solutions, we collect many items each week that people have discarded. Dennix Dx represents one of the amazing charities we partner with; we donate items to him that are too good to be binned or recycled.

All collected items are stored and shipped via containers to Africa, reaching people who do not have the means to easily buy or replace essential goods. The photos we receive show the profound difference his efforts are making, and I wanted to take a moment to share his story and show our appreciation. ❤️
