As part of the NAPIT Group, NAPIT Training delivers a comprehensive portfolio of its own training and assessment in addition to industry approved courses which are certificated or accredited by City & Guilds, BPEC and Logic. Government Urged to Rethink EV Pay-Per-Mile Scheme 🚗

NAPIT has called on the Government to reconsider the proposed electric vehicle excise duty (eVED) that would see EV drivers charged 3p per mile from April 2028, warning it could slow the transition to electric vehicles and negatively affect installers of charging points.

Stephen Melton, NAPIT Commercial and Compliance Director, said: “While it is understandable that the Government will need to look at replacing income lost through reduced fuel duty revenue…, we have questions about the timing and fairness of the current proposals.”
