As a mum of three under 5, I’ve come to understand that nothing quite tests your limits like a full-time job, two boys who are essentially tornadoes with legs, and a very stubborn girl who insists on negotiating everything (including cake cake 🧁 consumption).
But here’s the beauty of being a Virtual Assistant: I get to control my hours. So even though I recently took on a full-time job (because apparently, I like a challenge), I’m still keeping my VA work. Why? Flexibility. And sanity. Mostly sanity. 🤪
After living the expat life on and off, I’ve learned that having the power to dictate your own schedule is a rare, precious gift.
And while I may be running on caffeine, wine and sheer determination, I’ve found the confidence to be Abbie again – not just the mum who’s always wiping faces, breaking up arguments, and pretending to understand the latest obsession with dinosaurs and dead snails 🐌 .
I can be the version of me that actually gets to work on my goals, without the guilt of not being present for my kids when they need me.
Oh, and for fun, I’ve also added independent travel agent to the list, because clearly I didn’t have enough going on already. But, hey, when you’re juggling a full-time job, three small humans, and trying to not lose your mind, why not throw a holiday booking service into the mix? ✈️
So here’s to all the VAs out there: if we can balance clients, kids, full-time jobs, and a side hustle, we can probably solve world peace too. ✌️
