Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was a few meters from the finish line, but got confused by the signals and stopped, thinking he had finished the race.
The Spanish runner, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was happening in front of him, began shouting for the Kenyan to keep running.
Motai did not know Spanish and did not understand.
Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory.
One reporter asked Evan, "Why did you do this?" Evan replied, "My dream is that one day we can have the kind of community life that pushes ourselves and others to win as well."

Our Fred is walking doing the 3 peak challenge!! 🏔️

This is all in aid of his friend Dylan, who has had his life turned upside down when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, something no one should have to deal with at his age. Since then Dylan has been battling hard, showing extreme resilience and strength throughout his whole treatment. It is CRUCIAL we raise the money for his necessary life-saving treatment. We have a matter of months if not weeks to find the money required to save this young lads life.
