The auction takes place at 10.30am online and in the saleroom on Tuesday, 15th September.

🎻 ATTIC FIND! 🎻

One of the highlights in our Fine Art & Antiques auction on Tuesday 8th September is a bound volume of John Playford's The Dancing Master. Discovered during a Lutterworth attic clear-out, it was found wrapped in a 1937 King George VI coronation handkerchief!

The manual bears the handwritten inscription 'John Stevens, Lutterworth, 1698', placing it in Leicestershire hands over 300 years ago.

Such early surviving examples of Playford's hugely influential dance manuals are exceptionally rare, and this volume, estimated at £3,000-£5,000, is expected to attract interest from collectors worldwide!

The saleroom is looking resplendent with all the wonderful treasures available for viewing, so why not pop in and see them for yourself on Monday 7th September from 9am-4:30pm and the morning of the auction between 9am-10am.
