Acrovision is an experienced integrator of industrial barcode reading and camera vision inspection systems and have expanded their automation solutions to include . Cobots are having quite the revolutionary effect on vision systems. Integrating cobots into vision applications is providing a safe and cost-effective solution in many instances, where the product handling is an issue or prohibitively expensive. The key advantage of using cobots is that as well as being very easy to program, they are also inherently safe to allow them to work with and alongside humans, (subject to risk assessment). No longer the need for expensive and unsightly safety guarding requirements. Acrovision are one of the leading UK distributors of the Doosan Robotics range of collaborative robots (cobot), part of the Doosan Group, and supplies its range of advanced, high performance cobots. These cobots are versatile, easy-to-install and use, incredibly safe and competitively-priced. are designed to perform a range of tasks that include tool tending, testing and inspection – through to , , and operations. All cobots are equipped with 6-axis articulated arms with highly-sensitive torque sensors that detect changes in force and pressure, which causes them to stop. As well as different capacity (payload and reach radius) arms – all cobots are supplied with a state-of-the-art controller, a sophisticated Teaching Pendant and a number of options that include a dress pack, a water jacket and a mobile base unit. In addition, Acrovision promotes the MECA-500, by Mecademic Robotics, which is an ultracompact six-axis industrial robot arm boasting a repeatability of 5 μm for ultra-precise robotic placement applications. In general, Acrovision will assist in the correct specification of robot and end-effector for any application, as well as providing the necessary and safe and cost-effective integration into the customers environment.
