⚠️ Windows 10 support ends on October 14, 2025. (Ironically, on International E-Waste Day and a few days before International Repair Day...🤦)

This doesn’t mean your computer is finished - but it does mean you’ll need to think about your options.

Here’s what you can do:
🤞​Accept the security risk and continue using your device
🖥️ Upgrade to Windows 11 if your device supports it.
🔒 Use Microsoft’s Extended Security Updates if you need more time.
🐧 Try Linux Mint or ChromeOS Flex for older devices.

At the Marlow Repair Café, we can help you:
➡ Understand your choices (upgrade, security updates, alternatives).
➡ Explore whether your device can be given a second life.
➡ Avoid unnecessary e-waste.

With momentum growing towards a circular economy in the UK, we wanted to make sure that the government knows that businesses support repair and reuse. That’s why we have signed a joint letter, co-ordinated by The Restart Project, to Steve Reed, the DEFRA Secretary of State reflecting our support for policies put forward in the .

At The Repair Finder, we are creating a part of the solution to make repair and reuse widespread. We need policy-makers to act to ensure that repair is accessible and affordable, and that reusing our resources instead of wasting them becomes the norm.
