We’re at ScotGrass today 🌱
Mark Tripney from our Longcliffe Agricultural Products team shares:
“Apply granulated lime after first cut grass to enhance nutrient uptake.
High performing grass fields which have not yet been limed, when combined with a wet spring and the application of slurries and fertilisers could result in sub-optimal soils with impaired uptake of high value minerals. Applying high purity granulated lime after the first cut will improve soil structure, optimise pH and enhance the utilisation of key nutrients as well as increasing microbial and bacterial activity. These improvements in the soil will increase sward quality, dry matter yield and palatability on grazing fields.”
Mark is on site today with John Nichols, joining a strong line-up of exhibitors from across the grassland sector.
If you’re attending, head over to Stand 36 to continue the conversation. Always good to catch up with familiar faces, meet new ones, and see what’s shaping the industry.
