Evolving Communities CIC

Evolving Communities CIC We specialise in patient, public and stakeholder engagement and insight to help health and social care.

We have a long track record in the delivery of local Healthwatch services and Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnerships. We achieve this through the Healthwatch services we deliver independently on behalf of local authorities in Dorset, Gloucestershire, and Somerset, and through our engagement and insight consultancy.

Our Healthwatch Dorset team continue to reach out and highlight the voices of our diverse communities across Dorset.

The more people share their ideas, experiences and concerns about the NHS and social care, the better services can understand what works and what doesn't.

For Tourette's Awareness Month (15 May-15 June 2026), we spoke to Katie who shared her personal experience of living with Tourette Syndrome and why increasing awareness matters.

“People think the vocal tics are what I’m thinking, and that is not true.”

As the host of Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnerships across the South West (Gloucestershire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall), we are committed to amplifying the experiences of parents, expectant parents and their families. The information below is particularly relevant to our community.

Baroness Amos is calling on women and families throughout England to contribute their views and personal experiences of maternity and neonatal services as part of a nationwide Call for Evidence. The information gathered will help shape the conclusions and recommendations of the National Maternity and Neonatal Investigation, guiding future improvements in care.

The Call for Evidence runs from 20 January to 17 March 2026. Two separate surveys are available: one for women and anyone who has experienced pregnancy, and another for partners, relatives, friends, or others who provided support during pregnancy. Participants must be 16 years of age or older to take part.

All submissions will remain anonymous, and the final deadline for responses is 11:59pm on 17 March 2026.
