March the 8th was an amazing reminder of all the incredible achievements of women around the world…

I had some interesting chats last week about what people can do to truly make a positive difference for women.

It is a collective effort, and it is about everyone doing the little things consistently that ultimately will make the biggest difference.

Here are some steps you, your colleagues, your family and friends can do…lets bring about the change we all deserve, one step at a time!

One of the most powerful productivity tools…so why don’t we make time for it?

We often overlook one of the most powerful productivity tools available: a good night’s sleep.

So why don’t we plan in more early nights?

It is easy to spend your evenings getting lost in the maze of social media, binge watching your favourite series and end up watching - just one more episode and before we know it, we are later to be than we expected.

Why not plan in an early night and make it happen, there are so many benefits:

Better Decision-Making – Sleep boosts cognitive function, helping you think clearly and make smarter choices.

Increased Productivity – Well-rested minds work faster and more efficiently, making those morning hours golden.

Improved Mental Health – Quality sleep reduces stress, anxiety, and burnout, helping you stay resilient.

Stronger Immune System – Your body repairs itself while you sleep, making you less prone to illness.

More Energy & Motivation – Waking up refreshed sets a positive tone for the entire day.

Instead of burning the midnight oil every night prioritise some well-deserved rest and wake up refreshed ready to be the best version of you!

Kindness can’t wait—someone needs it today!

Your life might be going well, but for someone else, today might be really tough. We don’t always see the struggles behind a smile.

Right now, you have the power to make a difference. A simple act of kindness—big or small—could turn someone’s day around. Don’t wait. Do it now.

Wow January is almost over, so what are you already grateful for in 2025?

With so many posts about the cold, dark mornings, Blue Monday and the many challenging in the world it is important to take time and reflect on 'what are you grateful for in 2025'

This could be family, friendships, new job roles and there have been many of those shared recently, or it could be you are massively grateful for being healthy.

Whatever it is for you make sure you hang onto that when things get tough as it is easy to forget what is good in our lives!

Do you find January a challenging month?

Not everyone gets excited about the New Year, we need to accept that everyone is different, and this time of the year can be exceptionally difficult for some people.

One example is those who suffer from Season Affect Disorder (SAD) – the shorter days of the winter and reduced exposure to sunlight can impact on the internal body clock, melatonin and serotonin and can contribute to feelings of sadness and depression.

Whilst we cannot personally change the climate or the length of daylight, unless we are lucky enough to take a holiday to the sun right now, we can take a few minutes out of our day to make people laugh.

Yes, make people laugh!

Tell a joke, share a funny picture or story, it will make a real difference to your and other person.

So why is laughter so good for us…
· It relaxes our bodies
· Relieves stress
· Boosts our immune system
· Improves our feel-good factor
· Protects the heart by improving our blood function
· Burns calories

Make it your mission to make someone laugh today!

Tomorrow 19th November is International Men’s Day – the theme is ‘Positive Male role models’

It is a celebration of the positive value men bring to the world and communities.

Not only does it highlight positive role models it raises awareness of men’s wellbeing, one of the reasons we published our latest article: Menopause Dominates the Conversation, But What About Andropause?

https://www.mazetraining.com/menopause-dominates-the-conversation-but-what-about-andropause/

We would really like to know what you are doing in the workplace to support those going through Andropause, as we believe there is much still to be learned and done to best support those who need it.

‘No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.’

This is the theme for this year’s World Kindness Day which is tomorrow and how true this is.

World Kindness Day was introduced by the World Kindness Movement, a global coalition of kindness organisations, in 1998.

It was established to encourage individuals and communities to prioritise kindness and goodwill as fundamental values.

In our latest Blog https://lnkd.in/eiz5rpSt we consider how in today’s fast-paced working environments, creating a sense of belonging and inclusion is essential for organisations and the first step is kindness.

While policies and diversity initiatives are important, simple acts of kindness are one of the most effective ways to foster inclusion.

Kindness in the workplace breaks down barriers, promotes connection, and creates a supportive atmosphere where every employee feels valued.

Hope you enjoy this quick read and can plan in some acts starting tomorrow!

Looking for a Fresh Approach to Leadership Development?

In many organisations, the approach to leadership development has remained largely unchanged over the years, even as our world and workplaces rapidly evolve.

Why is that?

With countless leadership models and theories circulating, trends shift, business priorities evolve, and focus areas fluctuate. Yet, most traditional approaches don't address the full scope of what leaders and teams need today.

If you're exploring how to transform the way your leaders inspire and support their teams while balancing agility, resilience, and wellbeing, the Maze Training Mindful Manager course might be what you're looking for if you want to rethink your leadership.

This course helps leaders make mindful decisions that lead to better outcomes and consequences, it embraces topics that are often left untouched in conventional training.

Mindful managers foster engaged, empowered, and resilient teams. If you haven’t considered this approach yet, reach out and schedule a conversation with Nicola Fowler at [email protected] to learn about the many benefits the course offers.
