Our monthly Coffee Morning is back tomorrow from 10 am to 11.30 am at Mayfields Woodland Burial Ground, and we'd love to see you!

Christmas can be a particularly difficult time when we're missing someone special. As the lights sparkle and the festive season approaches, we invite you to join us for a very special evening of remembrance at Mayfields Woodland Burial Ground.

An opportunity to come together, remember those we love and take a little time to reflect.

During our service, we will:
🕯️ Light candles in memory of our loved ones.
📸 Display photographs of those we wish to remember.
❤️ Write personal messages of remembrance to hang on our Christmas tree.
🤍 Share a special moment together remembering those who will always hold a place in our hearts.

The service will once again be led by our lovely celebrant, Margaret Harrison, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to spend time together.

Places are limited and book up quickly, so please reserve your seats early.

🌿 Important Update - Gate Closing Times 🌿

We have some updated closing times for our gates at Mayfields Woodland Burial Ground.

From Monday, 2nd November, our gates will close at the following times:

🕔 Monday to Friday: 9 am - 5 pm
🕙 Saturday and Sunday: 10 am - 4 pm

We know how important it is for families to have time to visit their loved ones, and we appreciate your understanding as we move into the winter months.

Please make sure you allow enough time for your visit before the gates close.

🍄🌿 Nature's little surprises at Mayfields 🌿🍄

You never quite know what you'll discover when you take a walk through our woodland!

We've spotted these beautiful mushrooms popping up through the grass, adding another little touch of autumn magic to our grounds. 🍂

As the seasons change, our woodland is constantly transforming. From the changing colours of the leaves to the wonderful fungi appearing beneath the trees, there's always something new to discover if you take a moment to look.

It's one of the things we love about Mayfields - a place where nature continues to grow, change and flourish throughout the year. 🌳🤎

Today marks the final day of Baby Loss Awareness Week, but for families who have experienced baby loss, remembering doesn't end today.

Tonight at 7pm, candles will be lit around the world as part of the Wave of Light, creating a beautiful reminder that these little lives will never be forgotten.

At Mayfields, we remember every baby and child whose life was far too short, and every family who continues to carry their love.

For the little ones who were held.
For the little ones who couldn't be held.
For the names spoken and the names kept quietly in someone's heart.

You are loved.
You are remembered.
You will never be forgotten.

🤍You don't have to have the right words🤍

When someone you know has experienced baby loss, it can be difficult to know what to say.

You might worry about saying the wrong thing.

But sometimes, you don't need the perfect words.

You can simply say:

"I'm thinking of you."
"I'm here if you need me."
"I remember your baby."

And sometimes, simply listening is enough.

Don't be afraid to mention their little one. For many parents, knowing that their baby is remembered can mean more than you realise.

But however long a little life lasted, they mattered.

They were loved.

And they will always have a place in someone's heart.

🤍 Baby Loss Awareness Week | 9th-15th October 🤍

Today marks the beginning of Baby Loss Awareness Week, a time to remember babies and children whose lives were far too short, and to recognise the families who continue to love and remember them.

Baby loss can be incredibly difficult to talk about. Behind every loss is a little life that mattered, a family who loved them, and memories that will never disappear.

This week, we will be sharing some gentle reminders about baby loss, remembrance and the importance of talking about these little lives.

We would also like to support Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, who provide support to families affected by the death of a baby and work to improve care and save babies' lives.

If you would like to support Sands, you can scan the QR code in this post to make a donation. Every donation can help Sands continue to support bereaved families.

To every parent, grandparent, sibling and family member remembering a little one this week:
