Parents have until 31 August 2024 to advise HMRC if their 16 - 19 year olds are continuing education. Failure to do so will mean your Child Benefit payments cease.
Take action now by contacting HMRC online, on the HMRC app or on 0300 300 3100.

Child Benefit can be claimed for children after they turn 16 if they are staying on in approved education or training.

As of 01 January you could be liable to pay tax on your 'side hustle', as the likes of Vinted, eBay, Etsy and deliveroo start reporting your income to HMRC.
A note to be mindful of this at end of the Financial Year!
Better to ask for advice than be suspected of tax avoidance.

As of the 23 October, there is 100 days remaining for you to submit your Self Assessment for 2022/23. Failure to comply could mean late filing and late payment penalties by HMRC.
