I want to say a big thank you to these amazing businesses. They believed in me and trusted me with their job. It has been awesome so far and many more success to come.

Let me do a little throw back to how it all started. We all knew what happened in 2020. Last year was tough and came with so many challenges and at the same time opened doors to a lot of opportunities.

I started proper business growth business coaching and social media management in September 2020. It took me up to 3 months before i landed my first client on 1st December 2020. I was about to go for a long break. Yes a break because things were not going too smoothly. But on the 1st of december i got my first client and before the week ended i got three clients in total.

Overall it was a success and we ended 2020 on a great note. Looking forward to a greater 2021.

For business consultation, social media management and other business related services i am just a DM away.

One last thing friends never give up hope on what you love doing. It will surely payoff one day.

A month ago, I started working with HeartyKraftsCakes as her social media manager. At that time, she was struggling with managing her business activities and handling her Instagram pages. Listen to your customers not your competition. A message all entrepreneurs should take note of.

Entrepreneurs are always in competition with one another, trying to either emulate or outdo their counterparts at all cost. Instead of paying total attention to their customers and provide unique value that will help satisfy their needs.

So my advice to entrepreneurs and business owners. It is high time you focus on satisfying your customers need.

Provide that unique solution or value in your own way or voice. Don't try to copy anyone and listen more to your customers.

We are embarking on an accelerator program to select 5 Nigerian women with the most thought-provoking ideas and practical tech-driven innovations. The five winners to be selected by an independent panel of judges, will be recipients of funding, coaching and mentoring support to bring these innovative ideas to full implementation. This is a joint initiative of NDES WOMEN and FORESIGHT SEEDS FUND.

This is an initiative to ensure the inclusion of more women in the Nigerian Tech Ecosystem. A gender balanced ecosystem is more likely to thrive. As it has been highlighted above, there are numerous benefits from increased participation of women in economic activity. The competition will launch as part of the NDES2020 event, with a social media campaign to raise awareness, and ensure nation-wide participation. Applicants will be directed to complete an application form on the NDES website. A selection of industry experts will scrutinise all applications and highlight the top 5. The successful applicants will be coached on the best business pitch strategy.

These finalists will be put through a series of competitions to weigh their technical abilities, soft skills and more to determine the best amongst them in order of performance. The judges will rate the finalists according to how effective their business case is. The ‘Accelerator Program for Purpose-Driven Female Startup Founders’ will be launched on the Summit day by the Honorable Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment.

The Young Africa Works-IITA project is currently seeking applicants within Kaduna, Kano, and Lagos, to
build their capacity to be trained and work within the supported value chain of rice, soybean, maize,
cowpea, poultry, vegetable, mushroom, groundnut, fish and livestock.
The project and training will focus on; Entrepreneurial and Employment track
Entrepreneurship Track. The programme has identified several enterprises and successful agribusiness
models attractive to youths. This will guide the intended beneficiaries to produce a bankable business
plan at the end of this training track. The Young Africa Works-IITA project has partnered with financial
institution such as Sterling Bank, NIRSAL to facilitate access to sources of finance and credit. Access to
post training support will be facilitated by the project.
Employment Track. The program is aware of the skills gap between youth and potential employers, as a
result, this training aims to better match these two interests. This will be conducted through commercial
internships and mentorship in order to further advance skills development and find better jobs. Youth
emerging from employment-track training are provided assistance to find decent jobs through
professional placement services.
Eligibility Criteria
• Aged 18 – 35 years
• Must be ordinarily resident1
in the respective municipal area (and live within 5km radius of a
cluster)
• Must have attained at least Junior Secondary School 3 (JSS3) for entrepreneurship track & a
diploma for employment track
• Willingness to commit at least 6 weeks for the training
• Must demonstrate passion for agriculture
• Interest in the project focus commodities
• Must have access to a functional mobile phone
• Affiliation to a registered association is an added advantage
A certificate will be issued upon completion of the training program.
