30 years of dedication, experience and being part of Durham Lifting’s journey.

This year marks an incredible milestone for Emma Stonehouse, who has spent three decades growing alongside the business, from joining us as an apprentice to becoming our Internal Sales Manager.

Over those 30 years, Emma has played a part in some of our biggest projects, witnessed the evolution of the industry and built an incredible understanding of what makes Durham Lifting what it is today.

Emma, thank you for everything you’ve contributed to the business over the last three decades. We’re incredibly fortunate to have you as part of our team.

24 hours’ notice. A vessel arriving into port. A 30 tonne crane ready for testing.

Durham Lifting was recently called in to carry out a thorough examination and load test on a deck crane, verifying its structural integrity and ensuring it was safe for continued use.

With just 24 hours’ notice of the vessel arriving into port, our engineers mobilised fully equipped to complete the work on board.

Using a water bag and load cell to provide a calibrated load, the crane was successfully tested to 30 tonnes, with certification completed following the test.

A great example of our team responding quickly when the timescale is tight, without compromising on the testing and verification required.

Almost 200 years of engineering, restored for the future.

We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in the restoration of Whorlton Bridge, one of County Durham’s most significant historic structures.

Durham Lifting has supported the project since 2024, carrying out structural testing on original bridge components to assess their integrity and help inform which elements could be retained as part of the restoration.

Originally opened in 1831, the Grade II* listed bridge spans the River Tees and has now reopened following an extensive programme of specialist engineering, conservation and construction work.

Our Managing Director, Amanda Gardiner, was invited to attend the official reopening, joining the project team and local community to see the bridge back in use.

Projects like this are a brilliant reminder that engineering isn’t always about creating something new. Sometimes it’s about using modern expertise to help protect what has already stood for generations.

A fantastic project to have contributed to, right here in the North East.

The finishing touches before dispatch.

These MultiSec stools have been manufactured, sprayed in our unmistakable MultiSec pink and put through final testing ahead of leaving us.

The team are now completing the final preparation, including applying the MultiSec branding, before they’re ready to make their way to the client.

Another MultiSec order getting ready for dispatch. 🏗️
Our latest order of heavy duty jacking and support stools has been completed, tested and prepared for the client within a four-week turnaround.

Engineered for heavy-load support and jacking applications, each stool can support up to 250 tonnes when used with the correct loading arrangement and setup, with a 50-tonne jacking capacity per stool.

Each unit also provides a 900×900 mm support area and a 200×200 mm point-load area, giving the customer a robust engineered solution for demanding support and jacking requirements.

From production through to testing and final preparation, the MultiSec team has supported the order throughout the four week turnaround.

Not every lifting operation calls for a standard solution.

MultiSec Jacking & Support Stools are engineered for heavy load support, packing and jacking applications, with each stool capable of handling loads of up to 250 tonnes when used with the correct loading arrangement and setup.

With a 900 × 900 mm support area, they provide a robust engineered solution for demanding applications where controlled load support is required.

We currently have 12 available across two sizes, eight at 800 mm and four at 1000 mm, at a special sale price of £2,000 per unit.

Another MultiSec order prepared for Germany, with Multi-110 and Multi-170 modular spreader beams heading to our distributor, HLR. 🇩🇪
