Thanks Grant & Mort & Co - big claims that could have significant productivity/profitability impact on farmer's and farming communities - especially in light of supply risk/cost from imported fertiliser currently.
Pre-empting the enquiries - looking forward to seeing the trial data that I'm sure i'll be asked about

Wise words from an old soul who has helped shape some of the things I'm most proud of.

It's plants, not paddocks, that are over grazed.Well explained Inside Outside Management and often misunderstood.

That's impressive. Maybe supporting rhizosphere biology does help plants access "tied up" pools of nutrients

YIELD ⬆️ PROFIT ⬆️ CROP HEALTH ⬆️

Here are the results from our 2024 Wheat trial at Tosari’s trial site.

Terrus Pro and Terrus Pro InX (inoculated with bacstim) not only proving an increase in yield and profitability… but showing a much stronger crop which means an improvement in the health of the soil for the next crop 🌾

Maybe our grazing management forces livestock to take a 2nd bite on desirable species and we're left with less desirable ones? You might be onto something there Brian!

What is overgrazing?
This occurs when a plant that has been bitten severely in the growing season gets bitten severely again while using energy it has taken from its crown, stem bases, or roots to establishing leaf. Generally, this results in the eventual death of the plant. Overgrazing commonly occurs at three different times when the plant is exposed to the animals for too many days and they renew leaf from stored energy as it tries to regrow; when animals move away but return too soon and graze the plant again while it is still using stored energy to reform leaf; and immediately following dormancy when the plant is growing new leaf from stored energy.

Just a quick note to let you know I’ll be stepping back from agronomy consulting and management duties at FARM Agronomy for a while.

I kicked off FARM back in July 2009, and apart from the odd short break, I’ve never taken any real time away. Turns out when you’re the boss, giving yourself permission isn’t as easy as it sounds - I’ve got a sternum that didn’t heal properly the first time around and I'm determined to help it do so this time.

FARM Agronomy remains open.
Karen continues to look after client seed & fertiliser sourcing needs and will be your best point of contact - she will redirect any agronomy questions, messages or emails. (Some would say not much has changed!)
A special shout-out to Dermott, who is working remotely part-time while taking on extra FARM Agronomy responsibilities in my absence and pursuing his PhD.

You can reach Karen – 0455 871 979 [email protected]

Farming feels like it’s at a real turning point and I’m grateful for the opportunities I've had to help shape its future. There’s a lot more work to do and I’m looking forward to returning with new perspectives, ideas and clarity.

Your ongoing support of FARM and the shared reasons we do what we do means a great deal, thank you.

David, Robbie and Sophie at Bellevue Dorpers are the real deal. Always open to sharing what's worked and what hasn't. If you don't learn something applicable and useful for your own farm from a day like this, then you're probably not really serious about making sustainable farming profitable.
