A little bit about me:
My
name is Jayne Groenewald and since 2013 I have dedicated a lot of my time to learning all that I can about the gift basket industry. I have not only successfully completed a gift basket design course, but I also run my own gift basket business and fully understand the highs and lows of running a home based gift basket business, I have a total of 25 years of business experience in various industries however I love this particular industry and have a genuine desire to help home based gift basket businesses to succeed.
Now you may be wondering why I am so willing to share my knowledge. It is simple really, around 4 years ago my lung collapsed and during the ensuing tests I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis which means that my immune system is overactive and attacks my healthy joints and organs. This means that although the disease is controlled with medication, there are times when I am in flare up that I am unable to do my favourite thing and that is to create gift baskets. This devastated me, as I love this industry so much, thankfully my husband (Mr G) stepped in to help and I was able to keep running my gift basket business. However I started thinking about all the knowledge I had gained and how it would benefit other home based gift basket businesses. This is when Basket Ask It (formally the UK Gift Basket Association) was born. Basket Ask It is for members only and provides information, videos and other resources for gift basket business owners who feel they could benefit from extra training.
