🌟 Welcoming James Simpson CEng, MIMechE as Purchasing Manager at Consort Equipment Products Ltd 🌟
James brings over 40 years of experience across aerospace manufacturing, high-tech silicon chip production, equipment manufacturing and FMCG, with a career spanning operations, engineering, quality, planning and supply chain management.
In his new role, James will bring more data analytics to purchasing, with a focus on streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and supporting a more standardised approach across the function.
James shared:
"My role at Consort is Purchasing Manager. I started in this role at the end of March 2026. My 40-year career has largely been based in Aerospace manufacturing, High Tech-silicon chip production, equipment manufacturing and a brief foray into FMCG. In these industries I’ve had roles in Operations, Engineering, Quality, planning and supply chain management.
I’ll be bringing more data analytics to the role, looking to streamline and improve efficiency, with the intention to demystify and standardise the process involved.
I’m thrilled to be back working in an engineering based, manufacturing business and look forward to exciting times ahead."
