🔐 Cybercrime is here, and it’s growing. In the past year, 43% of UK businesses have suffered at least one cyber-attack or data breach. While every organisation is at risk, small and mid-sized companies (less than 250 employees) are especially vulnerable. In the news we are seeing high-profile cyber-attacks every week, but what we don't see are the thousands that are happening everyday to small businesses.
October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and we’d like to highlight how Autotech Group is actively safeguarding not just our own data, systems, and people, but also our clients, candidates, and contractors.
Here’s what we’re doing:
• We’re not only ISO 9001 certified - we are also working towards ISO 27001, reinforcing our commitment to the highest standards of quality and information security.
• In addition, we have retained our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, which means our systems are protected against a wide range of common cyber threats.
• As part of our internal awareness efforts, we’ve partnered with the City of London Police to deliver a series of cybersecurity workshops for our team, helping our staff stay informed, vigilant, and confident in recognising potential cyber risks.
• Beyond our own organisation, our Autotech Connect brand supports automotive businesses with cybersecurity audits - It’s a practical step that could make a real difference to business continuity and data protection.
"Cybercrime isn’t just a headline issue, it’s a daily reality for businesses of all sizes. Autotech Group understands that, and we take it very seriously. We proactively protect our business so that our clients, partners and contractors have the upmost confidence that working with us ensures their data is safe, secure and managed correctly. Cybersecurity isn’t optional anymore, it’s business critical,” says Jack Salsbury, Autotech Group IT & Systems Manager.
Cybercrime is a growing concern across every industry. By staying informed and proactive, we can all play a part in building a safer digital environment.
