Helping Those with Dementia Stay Hydrated 🧠πŸ₯€

Whether you're one of our care staff or a loved one supporting a family member, here are tips to help someone with dementia stay hydrated during the warmer months:

🚰 Leave cups or jugs of water within easy reach
πŸ₯€ Add a straw to make drinking easier or a colourful cup to draw attention
β˜• Encourage hydration through cups of tea or soft drinks
πŸ“ Leave notes reminding them to drink water
πŸ‰ Offer them hydrating foods such as melon or soup
🍧 Encourage them to eat ice lollies or 'water sweets'
