β˜€οΈ Look After Your Well-being: Stay Cool This Summer β˜€οΈ

As we move further into the summer months, it's important that we look after ourselves and those who may be more vulnerable around us, especially in the heat.

We wanted to remind you all of ways that you can help to stay cool and healthy during the hotter weather. Simple steps such as staying in the shade, keeping blinds and curtains closed during the day, staying hydrated can have positive effects on your well-being when struggling with the heat.

To our carers, whether you're a walker out in the sun or a driver in a hot car, please ensure you're keeping yourself hydrated and safe!

Why Equality and Diversity in Social Care Matter 🫢

Equality and diversity in social care are essential to providing safe, respectful and person-centred support.

In a sector built on compassion, the way staff are treated, and how services respond to individual needs, has a direct impact on outcomes.

Creating an inclusive workplace isn’t just about policies. It’s about how people feel day to day: valued, supported and able to do their best work. When this is in place, both staff and the people they support benefit.

REMINDER TO CHECK MEDICATION πŸ’Š

In the care sector we understand the importance of checking medication to ensure no mistakes are made. It's incredibly important to take your time with medication calls, whether your tending to a new service user or someone you've assisted before.

You should always check the following:
⭐ Is it the correct medicine?
⭐ Is it the correct dosage?
⭐ Is it in date?
⭐ Is it safe to take with other medication?
⭐ Has it been stored in an appropriate place?
⭐ Does the service user have enough stocked up?

If ever unsure, always contact the office for advice, we're here to support you! 🧑
