They might be helpful.

But teaching is a skill.

Class management is a skill.

Correcting students is a skill.

Supporting nervous beginners is a skill.

Running purposeful games is a skill.

Talking to parents is a skill.

It’s the start of the most fragile part of the student journey.

A new student is still deciding:

Can I keep this up?

Is my child enjoying it?

Are we seeing progress?

Is this worth the money?

If there’s no welcome, no check-in, no attendance follow-up and no early progress made visible, new students can drift before they ever become proper long-term members.

That’s not always a class problem.

A trial student is not a normal student yet.

They don’t know where to stand.

They don’t know what to expect.

They don’t know the class culture.

They don’t know whether they belong.

And if it’s a child, the parent is watching everything.

The greeting.
The atmosphere.
The safety.
The instructor.
The other students.
The way their child is supported.
