We're thrilled to welcome Sam to Celtic as our newest Financial Planning Associate!

Sam joins us with a strong background in private banking and wealth management, and holds his Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning with the CISI. He's excited to make the move into the IFA space, and we're just as excited to have him.

He brings a solid mix of technical knowledge and client-focused experience, which is exactly what we look for. We know he's going to be a brilliant addition to the team.

We're officially a B Corp 🎉

We're so proud to share that Celtic Financial Planning has achieved B Corporation certification, and we're believed to be the first Chartered financial planning firm in Wales to do so.

Our impact score was 90.8, which honestly exceeded our expectations. We only started the process in October 2025, so to reach this point so quickly has been a real team effort.

But more than the score, this certification reflects the values we've tried to build the business around from day one. It's recognition that we're on the right track.

Here's what matters most to us:

🌳 Being carbon positive and having planted 2,385 native trees with North Wales Wildlife Trust since 2019

👥 A four-day week with no reduction in pay, because we believe in balance

🤝 Supporting local charities, community groups and grassroots sport

💚 Talking to every client about ESG and ethical investment options

None of this would be possible without our brilliant team, our supportive clients, and the guidance of Laura Hothersall at Truth, who made the whole process so smooth.

This isn't a finish line - it's a foundation. We're already looking at ways to do more, including exploring a community woodland to support local schools and charities.

You'll already know how proud we are to support our local community, and this June, Jamie is taking on the Nova Half Marathon (13.1 miles!) to raise funds for Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith.

Jamie’s signed up for a challenge he “would have laughed at” before… and is now “mildly terrified of” - but he’s doing it to help support children with life-shortening conditions and their families across our region.

We did it! Last night at the Mold Town Council / Cyngor Tref yr Wyddgrug Community Awards, Celtic Financial Planning was named Business of the Year!

As a proud Mold-based firm, this means the world to us. It’s a huge achievement for our team, and we’re absolutely over the moon!

A massive congratulations to all the other winners and nominees—hearing about the incredible work being done in our community was truly humbling. As the Mayor said, simply being in that room made us all winners.

And of course, a heartfelt thank you to our amazing local community—your support makes everything we do possible. This one’s for you! 💚
