👷🏻Experienced Cabling Engineer👷🏻
Due to company growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced structured cabling engineer to join our team.
iData are a well-established and trusted provider of IT Support, Telecommunications and Cyber Security based in North Wales, having supported our clients throughout the UK for over 15 years.
Our cabling solutions underpin our client’s network and security infrastructures, so a keen eye for detail is essential.
Reporting to our cabling & technical manager you will be required to:
Install, patch, connect and Test cat6, cat6a & fibre
Testing and termination (splicing of fibre optic cables)
Fault finding & resolution
Installation and commissioning of equipment (including cctv systems)
Managing vehicle stock levels
Project planning
Adhering to safe working practices.
Site surveys (cctv, wifi & phone system)
Installation and maintenance of CCTV and access control
Reporting progress of projects to your line manager
What we're looking for:
Flexible self-starters with good communication and team-working skills are essential
Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised and use their initiative to problem solve
Quality of workmanship is essential as well as excellent customer service as you will be representing the business on site with our valued clients
A clean driving licence and an enhanced DBS check are required. Due to the nature of some of the clients we work with, under our company policy, we carry out random drug testing.
