OPPORTUNITY FOR IMS FELLOW MEMBERS TO UPGRADE TO COMPANION STATUS

New Doctorate Program – Doctor of Applied Management

Universite Suisse Privee St Clements has established a new Doctorate program. The Doctor of Applied Management is for Senior Managers who are working on a major project in their work organisation and want to get academic recognition for the project.

Universite Suisse Privee St Clements has set up a format which the candidate must go through to present their work to the University. Candidates will need to be a Fellow member of The Institute of Management Specialists to be eligible to enrol into the program – if they are not eligible to for IMS Fellow membership they will not be eligible to enrol into the program. They will be given a Faculty Supervisor to guide them through the process. It would be expected that most projects suitable for inclusion in this award will take two or more years to complete.

This Doctor by Project degree has been established to enable IMS Fellows to gain the education requirements to upgrade to the Companion grade.

EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP PROGRAME
The Institute of Management Specialists is offering an Executive Leadership program to enable Global Executives to upgrade their knowledge. It is run by Professor Dr Irving Buchen, a leading US based Academic on Leadership. Candidates will communicate with Dr Buchen who will go through their current leadership knowledge to identify their strengths and weaknesses.
Dr Buchen will tutor the Leadership Courses for the candidates’ individual needs. The exact cost will depend on the candidates’ education needs.
The first step is to have their current leadership strengths and weaknesses identified. This assessment is done for a cost of £325. Once these have been identified he will work with the candidate on the best way to build on their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. Dr Buchen will identify areas they should consider carrying out further studies in.

IMS members are offered a special discount rate of £130 for this program.
Please note this program is only suitable for senior managers and executives. No formal previous business education is required.

Dr Irving Buchen, BA, MA, Ph.D
Dr Irving Buchen earned his BA and MA at New York University and Ph.D at The Johns Hopkins University. He is part of the Capella University Doctoral Business Faculty, IMPAC University Associate Academic Vice President and Director of International Programs.
Dr. Buchen has written seven books and over 150 professional articles in journals. He is currently a regular writer in the journal ‘Leadership Excellence’.
It is as an expert Academic on Leadership that he has been engaged to offer the Executive Leadership program for The Institute of Management Specialists.
