Snow and ice, what a great photographic opportunity, pity I am housebound. To children it is fun, snowballs ( not in my direction), sledging, snowmen. To oldies it can be a nightmare, fear of falling when once you would be first on the slide, also the embarrassment of falling and not being able to get up. What contrasts.
Did you get yesterday’s image? Not sure how it would have provoked imaging.

Not able to add much to my website because of several visits to hospitals, spine, heart(Kathleen and me), hip (replacement required), foot. Photography was not uppermost in my mind. Perhaps 2018 will be better. I hope so.

Having experienced the emergency department of the Cramlington Hospital first hand, I can really recommend it, excellent attention, facilities, staff.

My long awaited operation on my spine is scheduled for 25th July but, they have found a heart problem. On new medications.

What a pain, not being able to walk. The operation I am building my hopes upon is now 4 months overdue. Been told it may not work anyway and even if it did it will take 12 - 18 months before the nerves start to recover.

Very difficult to get out and take photographs, had operation to correct my problems, but it did not work.

Very sad day on Tuesday, our 13 and a half year old Labrador had to be put to sleep. The vet came to our house so she did not get distressed, it was so peaceful. Lots of tears, including the vet. As he said "better a month too early than a day too late" but we knew it was time to say goodbye. I shall miss her nudging my arm as she sat by my chair wanting to be stroked. Bye old friend.
