All products Woodsure sourced certified ready to burn.

Crated full cubic metre of local kiln dried hardwood logs. Premium hardwood mix of species well seasoned then kiln finished and cut to regular size approx 9 inches. Burns super hot, satisfying all new legislation, Woodsure certified.

NB Delivery of crates is not by us, but, due to the weight of the product (over 400 kilos) by palletised courier service. This will be off the lorry by pallet loader and can only move over level smooth surfaces.

That's us now until after the August bank holiday. Thanks for all your support over the summer. We'll be back at it early September, probably some bulk buy deals to help you stock up early for winter. Certainly we have already, our barn store is full of lovely Northumberland sourced kiln dried premium hardwood logs. Plenty kindling available too.

If you're coming tomorrow at noon for some offcuts, head for Stannington Fuel service station, we're 400 yards south on the OPPOSITE side of the road. Look for a big pile of woodchip and a red tractor in front of the woodland as you head south. Gate will be open at noon. £30 a cubic metre softwood (a good size bootful), £60 hardwood. Those dumpy bags in the video are half a cubic metre. We close after the last car leaves 😎

Early start as I’ve to get major Tom to football. I liked this delivery to Torphicen. The lady wanted to order in bulk but access was too tight so I sharpened my pencil (not much mind it’s pretty sharp already) and we managed to shake hands on this mixed load of hardwood and wh**ky staves.

A couple of things to mention. Look how clean 99% of a wh**ky stave is from the side profile but you generally see only see the 1% exterior. Also notice you get more product in a net of staves than you do logs. It’s just easier to get them in the net.

Our primary operations are woodchip for industry although a secondary stream is bulk bag delivery for horticulture in the spring and summer. The logs we acquire are a by-product of our chip acquisitions, and are scheduled for the industrial chipping machine and then on to industrial biomass plants. Before the chipper comes, roughly quarterly, we give householders the opportunity to collect green logs to process at home for very cheap firewood. It's not for everyone, only those with experience of cutting and splitting logs. If they don't go out in this way, they are simply chipped up and sold for biomass, or we process a small amount ourselves, so no hard feelings either way if you get to site and decide it's not for you. These are not ready to burn logs and are priced very cheaply because of this. Cash on collection please.

Common sense on site is required, no responsibility is accepted by the operator of the site for accident or loss however caused. Climbing over logs is dangerous and strongly advised against. Please be careful not to lift anything too heavy and cause yourself injury. The site can be very muddy, please wear appropriate footwear and be mindful that it can be slippery under foot. Strictly no cutting logs on site is permitted.

Why would you move bollards to tip arb waste (and some timber rubbish) on the clean log chip pile? Just why?? 🤔🤔🤔

Surely it's easier to tip where there are no bollards and everyone else tips?

The mind boggles!

Tree surgeons. New gate code at yard due to fly tippers tipping a load of brash, soil rubble and roots, which I can't process or handle. Text me or Whatsapp 07782171097 for details. I'll just need your company name as the company fly tipping were seen and they're now barred permanently. Once you have the new code please keep it to yourself, and don't pass it on so I can keep a tally of who has access. Thank you.

Now that the firewood orders have subsided again, we're moving some biomass chip to the power station. Thanks to J.O. Straughan farming contractors for the heavy lifting. 120 tonnes out in less than a day. Top job.
