Global Wind Day is an opportunity for people of all ages to learn more about wind energy and the positive impact it can have on the places where they live. Beyond its role in tackling the climate crisis, wind energy can create local opportunities and foster community pride.

💚 We are proud to work with Earth Energy Education to deliver workshops that inspire and engage young people, helping them explore the exciting career opportunities available within the renewable energy sector.

💚We’re also proud to have worked alongside local communities to deliver one of the first community shared ownership projects at Crossdykes Wind Farm, creating lasting local benefits and ensuring communities can share directly in the value generated by renewable energy.

Together we are building a cleaner, fairer and more inclusive energy future.

Another exciting project milestone achieved for our 43MW Priestgill Wind Farm in South Lanarkshire ✅

💙 Making Time Count 💙

This year marks 45 years of MND Scotland - and a powerful reminder of just how precious time is.

For many people living with Motor Neurone Disease, time moves far too quickly - with an average life expectancy of around 18 months from diagnosis. Time isn’t something they can take for granted.

In the month of May, our team volunteered their time in various ways, raising over £2,000 in much-needed funds for MND Scotland.

Partnerships at the heart of Priestgill Wind Farm 💚

Great work is taking place at Priestgill Wind Farm and its all down to brilliant partnerships.

We've been working with RJ McLeod as our main civil engineering contractor and Powersystems UK Ltd on the local grid connection, and together we're progressing towards a late 2026 energising date.

Three teams, one goal: contributing to Scotland's clean energy future 🌱⚡

Community is at the core of everything we do. In the early stages we held a supply chain open day, bringing together over 40 local businesses for coffee and conversations about how we could work together and make this project rooted in the local area from the very beginning. This lead to a number of new local suppliers securing contracts directly, or further along the supply chain, to support the wind farm construction.

We are delighted to have awarded over £16,000 to support community groups in Skye as part of our development fund for Glen Ullinish II Wind Farm.

Supporting and engaging with the communities closest to our developments is central to everything we do. This funding provides essential backing to local groups, helping to sustain services and initiatives that matter most to people living in the area. 🤝

Funding streams are all too often oversubscribed and we know that there are many groups seeking support. This quarter there were many well deserving applications from groups near Glen Ullinish II and every one of them was carefully considered by our team. We can’t wait to hear all about the impact they make. 🌱
