We’ve been rather busy the last few months with a range of jobs, one being a rather big project in a local woodland clearing trees to open up old oak trees. Accurate felling of the conifers was necessary to insure no damage to the oak trees we were trying to save.
All waste material was ran through our chipper to leave a clean finish on the site.
Approximately 200 tonnes of usable timber was extracted using the mighty Massey and timber trailer. 🚜

We also spent some time with a winch, pulling fallen, dangerous trees from paths and rivers.

🌳🌳🌳🏡 A few more bite the dust!!!🌳🌳🌳🚜🚜

This customer had solar panels fitted to his house, more light was required and the these wild cherry trees had past there best! Big logs, moved easily with the tractor and crane.
All the waste and logs removed from sight and will be recycled at our yard.

🌲🌲 This is a job we have been working on for a few months now, this section of a local woodland had been completely over run by self seeded hemlock, we were taken in to remove some of the hemlock to open up the view of these very old native oaks and beech trees, the difference we made here was spectacular!!

By doing this it allows more light to these native hard woods that were beginning to show ill effects from being suffocated by these confers and begging to be exposed to show of the natural beauty of this woodland!! 🌲🌲

🌲🌲🌲This was a clear fell we completed for a customer at the end of last year on the west coast, around 100 tonne of timber felled, branches chipped and logs extracted (by day!) and all the stumps ripped out and piled for disposal!! (By night!)

With a power line running through the site, we arranged an SSE power outage of the line which allowed us to complete the felling.

🚜🚜Our new tractor and trailer made light work of removing and stacking the timber, with our freshly painted chipper following up behind chipping all the waste. The old girl got worked hard on this one!!!🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲

A number of dead elm trees suffering from Dutch elm disease that we removed a few months ago, the trees were becoming very dangerous and unsightly.

It certainly isn’t the end for these trees though, the logs which weren’t completely hollow were put to a local saw mill and will be turned into some beautiful furniture
