Gritty People

Gritty People Gritty people are passionate and deeply curious about people. We specialise in improving your Grit and EI levels, helping you to be the best version of you Why?

Gritty people was born from a passion and a deep curiosity of people, all people, from all walks of life. We find the interactions between people fascinating, not to mention how an individuals mind and focus influences successful, and sometimes not so successful outcomes! We work with primarily with leaders and athletes to develop their use of the five attributes of Grit. Have you ever experienced

a time in your life or career when the odds are stacked against you.... but somehow you have managed to get yourself over, around or under that obstacle? I'm guessing you have .. we all have a bit of grittiness in us, it's there to build upon and develop, if we choose to...

We help you better understand your current level of self- awareness, why? because your level of self -awareness directly influences your emotional responses, guiding your thinking and behaviour, allowing you to manage and adjust responses to suit any situation and achieve both your short and long term goals. So, what is Grit?

> Courage
> Resilience
> Contentiousness
> Excellence (not perfection!)
> Endurance

If your self awareness and therefore emotional responses are not in hand, if you are not currently able to manage your distressing emotions, if you struggle with empathy then I'm going to take a punt and guess some of your relationships, and generally what you are getting from life is not where you want it to be. If any of the above describes you (or you in certain situations or contexts) then you are in the right place ! because this is your opportunity to get grittier ! Effective relationships, are out of reach without awareness of others,

Awareness of others is pretty tricky if you have low/no self management strategies

Self -management is absolutely not possible if you are not aware of your own emotional patterns and behaviour (self - awareness)

In short, no matter how smart (IQ) you are, you are not going to get very far. because no amount of academic and intellectual ability so going to help you with human interaction (EI). At Gritty People we work with you to develop this untapped resource, be true to yourself, change the story and achieve results beyond belief.

Confidence usually fades gradually.

One difficult experience.

One setback.

One mistake replayed too many times.

Over time people begin:

doubting themselves
hesitating more
trusting themselves less

Confidence isn't normally destroyed by one event.

It's often eroded by repeated self-doubt.

What's helped you rebuild confidence after a setback?

It’s easy to appear calm when things are comfortable.

Pressure changes that quickly.

Stress often reveals:

patience
emotional discipline
resilience
communication habits
self-control

That’s why difficult moments teach us so much about people.

🚨 STOP. THE WIRING MIGHT BE FAULTY. 🚨

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to move forward no matter what life throws at them, while others stay stuck repeating the same patterns?

What if the thing holding you back isn't your circumstances...

What if it's the way your mind has been programmed to respond to them?

For more than 20 years, I've been helping people break through limiting beliefs, overcome self-doubt, build confidence, and create lasting change in their lives, careers, businesses, and sport.

Over the years, I've worked with leaders, entrepreneurs, athletes, and everyday people who wanted more from life but felt something was holding them back.

What I discovered is simple:

You can't always change what happens to you.

But you can change how you're wired to respond to it.

That's why I created 🚀 The Mind Coding Method™.

A practical, proven approach designed to help you:

✅ Break free from self-sabotaging thoughts
✅ Overcome limiting beliefs
✅ Build confidence and resilience
✅ Develop a stronger, grittier mindset
✅ Improve performance in business, sport, and life
✅ Create lasting positive change

This isn't about positive thinking.

It's about understanding the mental programming that's driving your results and learning how to recode it.

The question is:

How different could your life be if you stopped being held back by old patterns and beliefs?

🎥 Take just 3 minutes to watch the video below.

It might change the way you think about yourself forever.

Trust usually fades slowly.

Through:

inconsistency
emotional unpredictability
avoidance
lack of follow-through

People often care less about perfection
and more about reliability.

Consistency creates emotional safety.

Do you think consistency is underrated?

Anyone can perform well when they feel motivated.

The difficult part is consistency when:

energy is low
pressure increases
emotions are high
confidence drops

That’s where discipline becomes visible.

Not on easy days.
On difficult ones.

What helps you stay disciplined when motivation disappears?

Emotions spread quickly.

Especially under stress.

One person’s:

frustration
panic
calmness
confidence
emotional control

…can affect an entire environment.

That’s true in:

teams
families
sport
friendships
relationships

People affect emotional environments more than they realise.

Have you noticed how certain people change the atmosphere around them?

Silence gets misunderstood constantly.

Sometimes people stop talking because:

they feel unheard
they’re emotionally tired
they’ve disengaged
they no longer believe speaking up changes anything

Quiet doesn’t always mean calm.

Sometimes it means withdrawal.

Have you ever realised someone was struggling long after the signs first appeared?

Most people avoid difficult things for understandable reasons.

Conflict is uncomfortable.
Pressure is draining.
Emotional conversations feel difficult.

But avoided problems usually grow.

Into:

resentment
anxiety
emotional distance
frustration
stress

Short-term comfort often creates long-term weight.

Why do you think people avoid difficult conversations so often?

The more pressure people feel,
the more they often:

hesitate
second-guess themselves
lose instinct
stop trusting their ability

This happens everywhere:

sport
work
relationships
difficult conversations
high-pressure moments

Confidence often disappears mentally before performance drops physically.

Most people think burnout starts with exhaustion.

Usually it starts earlier than that.

People begin:

avoiding things
reacting emotionally
losing patience
withdrawing
overthinking simple situations

The emotional shift often happens before people fully realise they’re struggling.

Have you ever noticed this in yourself or others?
