Last week, Keith had the pleasure of joining the judging panel for the Cheshire YFC Farm Planning Evening, alongside Dan and Jonty from Barbers Rural

The event was packed with insight, innovation and impressive ideas from all the clubs involved.

A huge well done to everyone who took part - and congratulations to the clubs who placed. A fantastic evening supporting the next generation of farming talent.

Last week, Keith and Ella facilitated a second Farm Planning preparation evening for Cheshire YFC. The evening was well attended, with many good points raised by the participants.

Ella and Keith are looking forward to attending the presentation evening on Wednesday 28th January, where each club will take them through their business plans and cashflows.

Keith Thomas and Ella Wheeler recently hosted Cheshire Young Farmers at Reaseheath College for an evening about all things accounts and cash flows.

Their presentation included a farm case study and prepared attendees for the Farm Planning Competition scheduled for January.

Ella has been busy completing nutrient management plans for clients' 2026 cropping. Reducing reliance on inorganic fertiliser and utilising slurry and FYM is becoming increasingly important for farm businesses.
