We support business owners in keeping their employees safe by providing a range of health and safety training.

Whilst the subject matter of all of our courses is important, to us it's about the whole learning experience.

Each and every one of our trainers ensure that all learning styles are considered, that the learners are put at ease as swiftly as possible; the biscuit tins at our training rooms in Nantwich are always full and the kettles are always on!

The more comfortable learners feel the better they are able to absorb the information being taught and, importantly, ask any questions that they may have.

We support business owners by ensuring their team are confident in the topics being taught, enabling them to bring their new skills and knowledge to the workplace to benefit both themselves, the whole team as well as the business.

We always try to accommodate the requirements of our clients as much as we possibly can, so as to avoid disrupting their workforce as much as possible.

So, this week two of our trainers have spent 2 evenings on-site delivering an Emergency First Aid at Work course at a local company.

A gentle reminder that at 2am tomorrow morning, Sunday 25th October, the clocks will go back an hour, giving us an extra hour in bed; the sun will begin to set earlier and days will become shorter.

Introduced in 1916, to give farmers an extra hour of sunlight, the Daylight Saving Time initiative was formalised as British Summer Time with the Summer Time Act 1916.

For those who prefer the summertime, a date for your diary is Sunday 29th March 2027, when the clocks will move forwards again.

Some more fabulous feedback from one of our open 2 day Paediatric First Aid (PFA) courses which we've delivered at our training rooms in Nantwich this month.

We have some places available on our next course running on Wednesday 11th & Thursday 12th November, 9am-4pm, £145+VAT pp.

The EYFS Framework (September 2025) states ‘Whilst children are eating there should always be a member of staff in the room with a valid paediatric first aid certificate for a *full course…’
(*PFA course lasting for a minimum of 12 hours.)
This course is the "full course".

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will:

- be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding
- be able to manage a casualty who is in shock
- be able to manage a casualty with a minor injury
- be able to conduct a secondary survey
- be able to administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints
- be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries
- be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injuries.
- be able to administer first aid to a casualty with burns and scalds.
- be able to administer first aid to a casualty with an eye injury
- be able to administer first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning
- be able to administer first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis
- be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected major illness.

IOSH Managing Safely

This course is for Line Managers/ Supervisors; anyone who manages people and is responsible for their day-to-day safety.

This course gives them the practical tools and frameworks they need.
• Upon successful completion of the course candidates will have gained new capabilities and practical tools that make an immediate difference
• With better confidence and credibility in their role, they'll also be able to reduce risk and liability for your teams

What does the course cover?

• Understanding responsibilities
Master your legal obligations as a manager and how safety fits into your role.

Recognise different types of hazards, from physical dangers to environmental and human factors.

Develop skills to investigate what went wrong and prevent it happening again.

• Measuring performance
Use data and monitoring to track safety performance and drive continuous improvement.
