We can all end up briefly get caught up in paying attention to some ni**le or thing in our lives that is bothering us
We can spend 15 minutes watching a YouTube clip and thinking we have found the answer to how to cure that problem.
Looking up the new hot yoga class or whatever it is that makes us feel like we have put the work in to solve or reduce the problem.
The reason this almost never works is because we just threw attention at the problem in a semi-automatic way. But there was no conscious intention input.
This is also true in workplaces. Time and again I see organisations who have put all the attention onto burnout, mental health care, engagement but there is no intention behind it. No driving force, no cultural change. A couple of posters, the offer of a course, a week of awareness raising. A tick box exercise
For many years I have been drawn to the work of Lynne McTaggart, and during a recent conversation, her book The Field (2001) yet again became my go-to way of explaining intention and the larger forces at work in a simplified way to a client.
Human thoughts, intentions and emotions influence our physical reality and connect us. In the workplace, if you have leadership that consistently communicates support, builds trust and engagement employees feel valued and absenteeism is reduced. Turnover is incremental. Engagement is high, Workplace burnout is almost non-existent
Intentionally aligning staff to the values or your organisation adds purpose, it builds a collective consciousness and energy in your workplace. It’s invisible but powerful
If you want to boost your intentions, personally (to actually start hot yoga!) or in your organisation (to reduce absences and improve retention), get in touch. I am running an exclusive offer for 10 companies to return long term sick employees back to the workforce using my Life Retuning Method. Signing up to this is intentional and it shows that intention to your people. Find out more by clicking the link or dropping me a message: https://liferetuningmethod.com/business-retuning-initiative
