As my current role comes to an end, management of this page will shortly return to the East Kent Spatial Development Company team.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the page, attended workshops, sought advice, shared opportunities and contributed to our business community.

After nearly four years supporting businesses on the Romney Marsh, my current role is coming to an end.
✅ Over 50 business workshops
✅ More than 250 one-to-one support sessions
✅ Support to around 130 businesses across 10 different sectors

Thank you to everyone who attended workshops, booked support sessions, shared expertise and supported the programme along the way. It has been a privilege to work with so many talented and inspiring local businesses. Especial thanks to Terry Botfield for supporting the workshops and sharing his expertise with 1to1 advice.
The Romney Marsh Business Hub remains open and continues to provide excellent facilities for local businesses.

I have had a lovely week completing my final 1-to-1 sessions, including working with Stephanie and Emily at Jessamine Farm, in the very welcoming Tipsy Broomstick.
So where do I go for my guidance setting up my new business , live in November. Terry Botfield has been my 'critical friend' this week as no matter how hard you have thought about your new business you need that someone on the outside who will give you straightforward advice , so many thanks Terry Botfield

Romney Marsh businesses don't wait for support, they keep going ,they diversify and they see what they can do to support their local community.

Nicola Adam Miller at the Nest, , building a welcoming based environment, supporting local artists and group activities,

Our final funded and free workshops at the Romney Marsh Business Hub have now finished — but the good news is that you can still book free 1‑to‑1 support if you need help or guidance.

A huge thank you to Patrick McNamee from Lamplight HR for making the Employment Rights Act 2025 so much clearer, and to everyone who joined both his session and my Bid Writing & Tendering workshop. Extra thanks to those who stayed for the whole day.

And thank you to Terry Botfield for his support across both workshops and with future 1-to1's.
