A big thank you to everyone at The Nest this week. I’ve spent two days there holding a string of 1‑to‑1s and their hospitality has been absolutely lovely.

What really stood out was the mix of conversations — yes, there are shared business worries, but there are also so many people adapting, reshaping, consolidating, and even diversifying. The Marsh spirit is alive and well: community, resilience, and a real “let’s just get on with it” attitude.

People from outside often think nothing much happens here… honestly, nothing could be further from the truth. I’m proud to support such brilliant, hardworking local business owners

I’m continuing to share as much practical support as I can with local business people before my business support role for the Romney Marsh including Folkestone & Hythe concludes on 31 October.
