Charitable Trustees are unpaid volunteers who nevertheless take the legal responsibility for a charities administration and management. This week I have been continuing the governance journey with First Touch (the charity that supports the neonatal unit at St.Georges Hospital, Tooting), constructing a formal set of Terms of Reference for the Trustees and taking a broader look at the roles of the Trustees ensuring the most effective use of available skills and experience.

It's the final count down! Are you suffering from "Brexit confusion"? Are you clueless as to how your organisation will be affected when the clock strikes 12 on the 31 January 2020? There's no need for immediate concern, a post-Brexit transition (or implementation) period will be in place until 31 December 2020 where the UK will be treated (for the most part) as it if were still a member of the EU and most EU law will still apply.
