We’ve had a really busy few weeks.

Then we had Rufus 10th birthday and he wanted to see a picture of his grandad. Mum sent me this picture of him and it made me pause and reflect.

My mum recently told me my boys were a credit to both me and Rosie as parents.

I grew up after my dad died at 56 (I think) and I was 9.

I was a ship in a furious sea with no sails for many years. But I’ve had the most wonderful support from family, friends and people who stepped in and guided me. There’s a small group of people who’ll always be in my hearts.

This is the side of being self employed that most people don’t see. I take safety very seriously and had good reason to be vigilant. I had my 4 trailer tyres slashed and didn’t realise at the time but who had done it had disconnected the brake lines on the trailer. Had I not been as vigilant as I am I might not have seen it. All my kit is kept maintained as well as I can. Normally on a Saturday morning.😂
