SAY IT ….

I am a hungry advocate of feedback 😃
But I wasn’t always such a fan 😳
In those days I used to take it personally, the actual message blurred by what I heard (you are a useless twit!) rather than what was actually said!
In those days when I gave feedback it was often so wrapped up in cotton wool so as not to cause offence that the point was actually missed by the recipient!
SO WHAT CHANGED?
I did 😂
I did a lot of work, some self directed, some with support of great coaching.
I learned about my natural preference for keeping the peace, people pleasing 💕
I learned about leaning in to my other preferences to bring clarity, honesty, objective insights to my feedback
And with a massive amount of practice I can now comfortably say that I am a huge advocate of feedback 💕💎
My 5 top tips for others who struggle giving /receiving feedback:
💎 Check your intention
💎 Check the timing of conversation - time & privacy
💎 Check your listening is tuned to active
💎 Clarity is kind - be specific, honest and purposeful
💎 Check what has been said so that there is mutual understanding and an agreed outcome

RECLAIMING YOUR BRILLIANCE …

If your 1st thought when you read this was … I am not brilliant we need to talk! 😳

I believe we are all born with brilliance within 💕💎 so we all have it … hence the term ‘reclaiming’
I am not talking surface level, one dimensional - shiny one size fits all for show
I am talking deep, multi-faceted, self awareness, self acceptance and self belief that brings a glorious glowing kind of brilliance that is unique to you and shines from the inside out 💕💎💕💎💕
The dictionary definition of brilliant is:
💎Bright
💎Exceptionally talented
💎Outstanding
💎Impressive
💎Excellence
💎Marvellous
There’s a lot to choose from 😃

Because many of us have been conditioned to bury our brilliance to conform to a perceived way of being that is acceptable so we forget how marvellous we are.

Many of us assume that our strengths and natural talents aren’t that special because we find them easy! We assume that if we can … so can everyone else, and therefore we are not exceptional.
Many of us haven’t considered that ‘bright’ comes in many forms, it is not confined to how well you did in school. There are so many ways to be … you get to choose 💕💎

COMING SOON …

The end of 2024.
It’s been a mixed bag for me.
There have been some fantastic times:
💎 My unforgettable trip to India 🇮🇳
💎 👑🐝 Dani Wallace 👑🐝 and Big Festoon and the Leicester Square Premiere 💛🌟
💎Discovering Matt Elwell and the Elite Closing Academy community
💎Attending the first PeakeFest Nicola Peake and speaking on that stage
💎Winning a modelling competition and creating a whole new workstream
💎 The birth of my scrumptious new grandson 👶🏻
And then there was the not so great parts 😳
💔💔💔💔💔 A whole lot of loss throughout this year. So much grief to cope with, it feels relentless at times
😳😳 Evolving and growing the business has been slower and trickier than I thought

I won’t be sorry to see the end of 2024 & I do want 2025 to be the best year yet …
So I have got something up my sleeve ( other than tissues for tears!)
