Hello Everyone
As a current or previous customer of Gwenyn Siriol beekeeping supplies I am contacting you to let you know that sadly due to increasing difficulties with my health I have regrettably decided that I can no longer continue running Gwenyn Siriol.
However, there is good news, you will still be able to buy your beekeeping supplies locally as it will remain open under new ownership. The new owners are local beekeepers Emma Kirk and her sister Sarah Cook. Emma and Sarah are excited to be taking over Gwenyn Siriol and they are both looking forward to meeting you. They will be taking over on the 15th May 2026 and would value your continued support of a local business.

I am immensely grateful to you for supporting Gwenyn Siriol over the past 6 years under my ownership. I have enjoyed every minute of the journey, making new friends and endless conversations about Bees! I am extremely happy to be transferring ownership of Gwenyn Siriol to Emma & Sarah as it was important to me that Gwenyn Siriol should remain a local supplier of beekeeping equipment. I'm selling my own honey extractor as i no longer have a use for it - i treated myself to an electric one. It is a 6 frame, radial extractor (Manual operation). From memory i think i have only used it for 3 seasons so it has had very little use. It comes with detachable legs. I'm asking £280 ono. Hello Everyone
When is this rain ever going to end? On the very few dry days we have had recently, my bees have been out and about. Hopefully the weather will improve soon to enable me to have a quick peek inside my hives to assess how they are doing. I hope that your bees survived the winter and that you are looking forward to the new season.
The Gwenyn Siriol shop is all stocked up and ready to go and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again this season. Thank you for your support last year.

Well, the beekeeping season is almost coming to a close. I have had a good year and hope that you have too. For the second year running I have successfully managed to prevent my bees from swarming and have had a bumper harvest of honey, despite the dismal weather we are experiencing. I harvested my first batch of honey in June and the second batch was taken a few days ago. Yesterday I treated the bees for varroa using Apiguard, the second treatment will be due in two weeks. This evening’s job is to jar the honey that is currently in the settling tank. If you have yet to treat your bees, I still have Apiguard in stock at £2.60 a tray. If you are in the process of harvesting honey, don’t forget that I stock honey jars too! All the best Tracey
