Massive shout‑out to Natalie Broomfield 🌟

We’re delighted to recognise Natalie as one of our Notable Networkers for February at BNI Innovate 👏

Natalie consistently passes quality referrals that turn into real business. She does this by genuinely investing in relationships, taking the time to build trust through regular 1‑2‑1s, and always putting others first.

A fantastic example of how relationship‑led networking delivers results. Well done, Natalie – and thank you for everything you bring to the chapter!

Another great meeting at BNI Innovate on Thursday morning, which meets near to Thatcham in West Berkshire.

The meeting included a short presentation from Kate Allen launching a special "Golden Ticket" meeting in February. Although visitors are welcome at all Innovate meetings, this will be a special one to coincide with national networking week.

If you are in the West Berkshire area and looking to increase your business in 2026 then drop a message or comment below for details, as this would be the perfect meeting for you to come to. (The meeting starts with networking at 8:30pm, and there's a really good breakfast.)

The members each gave a short presentation about their business, and what sort of referrals they would like that would help them get more customers. This was followed by a longer presentation by Virtual Fitness Coach Steve Shreeve, who talked about how he can help people all over the world reap the benefits of regular exercise customised for their needs.

Aggie Niyongsenga was awarded speaker of the week by Jo Francis.

The first meeting of 2026 for BNI Innovate was on Thursday morning, and everyone really hit the ground running following the break in meetings over the festive holiday.

Being the start of the month, not just the year, it was time to recognise the 'notable networkers' in December, with Natalie giving the most referrals and Jane Black the most Thank You For the Business. Past member Josh, who is now a member of Reading Central BNI but was with us subbing, was also recognised for being a member of the "100 club".

Jo Francis was awarded speaker of the week by Tracy Baker.

And observant viewers may notice that there were still Christmas decorations up in the pictures!

Thursday morning was the last meeting of BNI Innovate before Christmas, and the last meeting of 2025. It was good turnout, and even though we are now deep within the festive season there was still plenty of good networking over breakfast.

To add some festive fun to the meeting Jo Francis (the Chapter's Secretary Treasurer) used AI to change the photo of each member that accompanies each presentation to incorporate a festive theme. This of course drew plenty of laughs throughout. Well done Jo!

See the previous post for the higher-resolution pictures.

After the weekly presentations Jamie Read of the Berkshire Music Trust gave his feature ten minute presentation. Jamie holds the charity seat within Innovate, and spoke about the great work the Berkshire Music Trust does; and how music brings people together and allows young people to express themselves.

Tracy Baker was awarded speaker of the week. Robert Bone (last week's winner) had a tough job to decide with this week; but explained Tracy not only had a Christmas themed poem, it wasn't created using ChatGTP, it included a specific referral request, and it was an ambitious request.

Following the meeting networking continued as many of the members adjourned to the bar for a festive drink.

Once again, another great BNI Innovate meeting on Thursday morning.

Following networking and breakfast the meeting was opened by the chapter president, Dani Malyon who introduced the rest of the chapter's membership team.

Aggie Niyonsenga was presented with a certificate for most referrals passed in November - well done!

After the weekly presentations from all the members and visitors, Cain Thomas of The Penny Group Harridge gave his feature ten minute presentation. In this he educated the members of all the different types of mortgages he can advise on, and the people he can help - both on residential and commercial mortgages.

Robert Bone was awarded speaker of the week, his presentation included a testimonial from a recent event as well as a description of a perfect referral for him.

And to finish the meeting Cain morphed into Father Christmas and distributed the presents all the members brought in for the Innovate Secret Santa - with plenty of laughs smiles. (Next week's meeting is the last before Christmas, so Christmas jumpers at the ready!)

Thursday mornings are BNI Innovate mornings, and what a morning!

Once everyone had tucked into their breakfast everyone was welcomed by Dani Malyon, who is the president of Chapter; and introduced the leadership team.

Being the first meeting of December Michael Palfrey (the everloving VP) presented certificates to Innovate November Network Leaders: Cain Thomas, Aggie Niyonsenga, Jo Francis and Jane Black. Well done to all!

Next we formally welcomed our newest member, financial adviser Ian Weston, and Kate Allen presented the education slot which focused on giving specific referral requests when you don't have a specific person but for of a 'type' of person.

After the presentations from all the members and visitors, Dani gave this week's feature presentation about the Floor Club and New Homes Flooring.

The morning rounded off with new member Ian winning Presentation of the Week, giving him double time next meeting to talk about his business and referral requests.

Dani's ideal referral partners are:

Interior designers
Builders
Site managers
Tradespeople who fit flooring (but don’t supply it)

Of course visitors aren't just limited to those wanting to find out more about flooring, but want to network with a whole range of other businesses in West Berkshire. Meetings are 8:30am to 10:30am. Comment below or drop a message to find out more.

Another great meeting of BNI Innovate; with plenty of networking, business referring, and more than a couple of good laughs adding to the morning.

Despite Innovate's Ever-Loving VP Michael Palfrey managing to miss his mouth and earning a "special medal", the meeting went really well with Dani Malyon and Jo Francis doing fantastic jobs as President and Secretary/Treasurer.

All the members and visitors gave their weekly presentations about their business, with many asking for specific referral requests to connect with certain people who could really make a positive impact on their business. This was kicked off with Steve Smith of Oakley Hill giving his 4 minute "springboard" presentation. Speaker of the week was awarded to Aggie Niyonsenga of Emmett Bloom, who will have 2 minutes next week.

Tracy Baker of Your Vegan Bookkeeper Ltd gave the feature presentation, talking about the all the different types of software she uses to perform her tasks - and ensuring her customers know the numbers for their businesses.

And finally Aggie also won this week's door prize - and also received three referrals - so it was definitely worth her while attending today!
