I'm delighted to share that Nikki's Helping Hand has rebranded to Hummingbird Home Help and Care Ltd! After a year of interviews, qualifications, and hard work, I have joined with Meghan Ottaway to form a CQC registered home help and care company. This has been a tough but incredibly rewarding process.

I cannot believe that we are now in a position to give more incredible people in the local community the quality care that they deserve.

The last year has been a time of great difficulty and sacrifice. The absence of creating new memories with friends and family has been particularly tough. The coronavirus pandemic has affected us all in different ways. The togetherness of the community allows the work of professionals to keep caring for the ones we cherish most dearly. Thank you to those who have worked with me in these challenging times.

Soon we can all have that well earned cup of tea with our elders and start to make up the lost time with those who mean the most to us. By continuing to be vigilant and adhering to the rules, normality can return in June.

But for now. Stay at home. Protect the NHS. Save lives.

The recent government announcement has outlined the earliest possible dates in the easing of restrictions.

Just a thought... the village looked very pretty this morning as I did my rounds on foot. Can I just ask you all to be mindful if you have an elderly neighbour to take a few moments to knock on their door and check they are warm, safe and well please.
