With it being National Tree Week this week it seemed only fitting the first post be that of a tree we planted many moons ago, even before it became the norm to carry a camera phone!!

Since then we have planted many more in all variety of shapes and sizes and is now a massive part of most of our projects.

Here we have a very fine specimen often found on our projects, leaning a little awkwardly but that’s enough about .breakspearrrr ....the other is a Fagus Sylvatica layered topiary planted for its ease to keep tightly clipped and offers a fantastic autumnal colour.

Keep an eye out this week for some of our other favoruite tree plantings 👀🌳

Good end to the week getting this Dijon limestone terrace all laid and grouted. Completion next week with the metal, gravel and planters. Then all we need is the hot tub!!

Once again the Dijon limestone being a great slab to lay from with its irregular veins against the sleek course lines. This terrace sits beautiful against a matching stone terrace closer to the house which we laid 10+ years ago and still looking fantastic.

Photos of the completed project next week with having a well deserved soak in the hot tub...weather depending!

Reinforced concrete steps 🙌🏻

A set of steps allowing our client to access the lower parts of their extensive garden.

Foundation preparation, framework construction, placement of reinforcement steel bars, concreting and slabbing were all in the safe hands of CLL.

Due to the ground having been previously built up, the porcelain terrace was screeded with concrete prior to laying. This gives the slabs a strong base for longevity.

Planters have been designed next to the steps, ready to be filled for a stunning walkway. 🌺🌷🌹

Ash Dieback 🌳

A disease currently affecting Ash trees in the UK, causing serious safety issues for many land-owners.

Thankfully CLL have a specialist team to fell the affected trees, and as you can see our tractor and trailer make light work of shifting the timber. 💪🏻 🪵 🚜
