Creating Creating My New Money Story - New Workshop with Sarah McCalden - Wednesday 3 August at 1pm UK time.

We all have our “stories” about money. We learn them from our parents, our grandparents, relatives, friends, teachers, and anyone who has an influence on us as we are growing up.

All that learning collectively comes together and influences our beliefs and feelings about what money is to us and how we can plan on money behaving in our lives. I frequently found myself in a constant financial struggle and my sense of wealth consciousness hit an ultimate low with feelings of not being good enough and feeling unworthy of wealth.

It affected every aspect of my life. From where I decided to live, eat for dinner, who I chose to spend my time with, the clothes I bought etc. It controlled my life.

A few more of the stories I was told growing up were:
• Money doesn’t grow on trees
• The very wealthy are corrupt
• You have to work hard for money
• Money is something adults argue about
• It's rude to talk about money

In this 90-minute premium and interactive workshop with workbook, we will start to uncover your own money story up to now and we will start to create a new money story that serves you.

This powerful workshop will require your camera to be on and your full participation. Come and learn with us! This may be the very first time you have truly acknowledged the beliefs you hold. Remember, in this workshop, there are no right or wrong answers. This is about developing your awareness and beginning positive change.

We had a great time yesterday meeting with friends from Australia who we met all the way back in 2018.

It's so nice to keep in touch with friends, even if distance means we rarely see each other in person.

My husband Freddy made us an amazing lunch, we had a nice walk and a drive along the coast. It was a beautiful day. ❤️

Who is in your wealth circle? And who is outside of it?

Do this exercise:

Inside the circle, make a list of the people in your life, who you can talk to about wealth building and personal development.

Outside the circle make a list of all the people in your life who you know aren't interested or maybe even frown upon your efforts.

What does your piece of paper look like? How many names are inside the circle? How many are outside the circle? Would you like more names inside your circle? You can never get enough support!

Honour your wealth circle: Don't talk about wealth building or personal development with those outside of your circle. Put the boundary up and let it stay there. People outside of your circle — the naysayers, the doubters, the pessimists — must stay out, otherwise you may succumb to their way of thinking.

How can you find support?

Join a community, such as the Money Club.

Get an accountability partner.

Get a mentor and ask them about investing.

Use professionals, such as accountants and bookkeepers.

Working towards your financial goals as part of a community and in collaboration with others is fulfilling, rewarding and a surefire way of reaching your financial goals.

What inspired me to start my business?

Well... I feel like I've been in business since 2017, but I left the network marketing I was a part of in 2020 and started Money School and the Money Club around that time as a natural step taken from that experience.

I was inspired to found Money School and the Money Club because I discovered that many if not most people in the network marketing company I had been a part of were heavily in debt because of joining the business, and being a part of something like that was not in alignment with who I wanted to be. I wanted to help people become wealthy, not help them into debt. I felt like I had to make a difference for myself and for those people, who had become a part of my life, people who had become friends, and who I cared about, and others who were also on the path to wealth.

I had never been taught how to make my money work for me and it was about time I learned. I wanted to educate myself and help others in a similar position , of which I knew were many, to do the same. So my money coaching, the Money Club and my discovered passion for crypto and blockchain have arisen from there. I'm loving the journey!

Hi there! I'm Sarah McCalden, owner of Money School and I am a coach, mentor and trainer! My most favourite part of my business is running money trainings for people. I really get so much satisfaction from these, I'm great at delivering them, and people get great results from attending them too.

I am in my early 40s... nearly mid 40s 😆. I've been in business for myself since late 2017. I quit my job mid 2018 and have never looked back.

I have two sons, Hunter and Finn, and a husband, and they are all from New Zealand. I am not actually English, although I sound it — very. I am actually very Scottish! I would definitely call myself a Londoner though — definitely! And we have a very cute black cat, Maisie, who is just the sweetest cat. She's definitely an outdoor car. She's only ever inside at night.

I live in south London — in Croydon. We've lived here for most of the last 7 years, since we returned from New Zealand.

My favourite colour is green — to match my eyes 😆. But seriously... And anything else? I love the outdoors, and this month is the 10 year anniversary of me and my sons becoming vegan! Anything else? I'm writing a book!
