It was an absolute pleasure to be involved and help make this happen!
Tomβs Fest 23!
We are absolutely delighted to share this news with youβ¦
Not only are we about to announce how much we raised in terms of funds, but also the reach, awareness and impact Tomβs Fest has had on the community.
So we have deducted all of the costs of running Tomβs Fest and the total amount raised was an incredible Β£6656.42!!!
What this means in terms of support for Melanoma-Me Foundation is that we can provide 185 hours of counselling for people affected by melanoma! Iβm sure that everyone can agree that this is a fantastic sum of money and the support that we can offer because of this, is an incredible gift to the melanoma community.
But it doesnβt end thereβ¦
In addition to this we were very grateful to have 12 schools in the North East work with us to raise awareness with their children. This had an awareness reach of over 7000 children within schools and over 143,000 social media views.
Additionally, with local media interest including ITV news and The Chronicle we had over 9600 social media views and this didnβt include the people who watched Tomβs story from the comfort of their own homes.
We have so many people to thank for supporting this amazing event - Debs Dixon our counsellor who carried out the school projects and our sponsors, people who attended, bands and all of our the volunteers who worked behind the scenes.
A very special thank you goes out to Tomβs mam Amanda, dad Steven and twin sister Hannah for their unwavering support, love and kindness and for pushing through every emotion to fulfill Tomβs legacy.
Another huge thank you goes to Lee Woolhead from πππ§πππ π£ππ ππ₯π who for the second year running has devoted his time, hard work and bucketloads of patience to make this event grow into the amazing festival it is.
So who thinks we should do it all again next year?
