A message from the past. Written 131 years ago!
Sometimes you find these little notes from Clockmakers long gone. Usually they're scratched into the clock plates. But this one is written in pencil inside the bell of a French mantel clock.
It reads:
Cleaned Nov 16th 1893 (The name I can't make out unfortunately) and then what is probably a job number.
