This is a great example of how collaborative working delivers impact. Durham University and Durham County Council working together to deliver a successful internship programme, innovative entrepreneurship support and an excellent City Incubator. It was a pleasure to undertake this interim evaluation and I am really looking forward to seeing what happens in the next exciting phase.

A recent report has concluded that a joint Durham University and Durham County Council project supporting business growth in County Durham has brought in over £3.3 million in value to its participants to date.

Ending lockdowns alone won’t restore confidence or growth. Only when the novel coronavirus is under control will economic growth resume.
